Hello UAC July Members!
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. I can tell you that it is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better. GOOD LUCK!

Hi!
I just joined a challenge for the first time and I'm pretty excited about it!
I'm 40 and I live in beautiful New Zealand11 -
This sounds like a fun and hard challenge. I hope I will be active everyday and remember to log it. This is my first attempt at this challenge. If I don't succeed, at least it seems as if I will be more active and I can try again in the next month. Looking forward to participating this month...although the 4th of July may be a bit if a challenge8

Hi all, I'm Alyson and this will be my fourth month with the UAC. It's an awesome supportive group of people and reading everyone's posts is great. I hope to reach my goal weight in July thanks to this group.
Welcome to all new and returning members, good to have you all here.
@PaisleyFlower nice to have another kiwi in the group, I'm also in NZ.

HI everyone, My name is Priscilla, from Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, B.C. and this is my 4th month with UAC, I absolutely love this group. Very challenging but at the same time forgiving with our 3 pass days. Lots and Lots of support and great advice when wanted. We are all very good at understanding everyone is different and we all have OUR way of doing this, no one is RIGHT or WRONG we just ARE!
Looking forward to sharing your journeys with you! To date I have lost 25.8lbs.........my first goal was to lose 25lbs by June 15th(which I did) my new goal is to make the 50lb mark, but right now I am just focussing on the 30lb mark......no goal for when this time just to do

Firstly a big hello to all the newbies and regulars
I have joined for my 2nd month, I love the supportive and laid back natures of the group members, as well as the wonderful advice
In June my aim was to lose --
-- a few inches ..... so far I have managed 5 inches across the 5 different measurements that I take!!!!
-- 7 lbs ..... I've only managed 2.2lbs so far .. but we are still a few days away from the end of June
A little about me
My name is Donna, I am a 44 YO mother of 4 humans and 2 cats I live in Scotland, Glasgow.
This is my second time losing my weight, I had managed to lose all but 15 lbs but then my hubby took seriously ill, I thought I was going to lose him, one serious life saving op later and he was in recovery for several months .... needless to say everything got kicked to the kerb ... thankfully he's fine now,
since then my weight crept back on and brought some friends.
Time to lose it all again and maybe a little extra ..
My aim in July will be ---
-- to lose 7 lbs
-- to lose some inches
-- to walk 50 miles7 -
Hi again. Opting in for a third month. 49yo father of one from Australia. Started tracking weight and food when I realised I was heading for obese for the first time in my life. UAC has been helping keep me honest and on track. Dropped 4.1 kg (9 lbs) in the last 30 days. Finding UAC is helping create good, sustainable habits with the help of a wonderfully supportive group.7

G'day! I'm Cat, and I've never joined a challenge before, so pretty excited about this one, need the accountability. I'm a 29 yr old from Sydney Australia.7

Hi, I'm Megan and I'm new to this board and an infrequent app user. I've been really inconsistent, sometimes keto, sometimes calorie counting. I also have celiac, so I'm gluten free and tend to do well avoiding grains.
I'm looking forward to having a group to check in with and sound off ideas.
Thanks,
Megan6 -
First time with UAC so I am appreciative for all the returning members who will undoubtedly offer great support and advice. To all the other first timers...we will do great!8

Hello Y'all. My name is Deborah and this is my second month with UAC. Welcome to the newcomers and repeat challengers. I love the accountability of this group. Many days I've wanted to skip on tracking or exercise but knowing I have to take a pass day if I do,bgets me up and going. Looking forward to hitting new goals this month and meeting all of you better each day.7

Hi, I'm a returning ultimate accountability challenger. I've been part of the challenge for a fair few months. Due to reasons of my own, and nothing to do with the amazing group, I have never been in the winner's circle. Well, apparently failure can teach us a lot. And lessons on resilience too. So I'm hoping that in July I can get back to healthy habits consistently...and get in that circle! Looking forward to continuing the journey with all it's highs and lows with you all.9

@ColwellCat. Will be nice to have another Aussie on here (There are also two here from NZ as well).
It's a great group. Good support. Good advice. Helps keeps things on track.
Welcome aboard.4 -
Hello! First time challenge for me. I'm a sporadic user of my fitness pal and that's gonna change! I look forward to cheering each other on and holding each other accountable! I travel a lot and eat out a lot--I know what to eat and how to exercise but I don't do it enough, and now my pants don't fit! Looking forward to getting back to a place I feel good in my body.7

Hi, I'm new here, but would like to participate.
A little about myself. I'm Trixsey, 39, mother of two teenagers and a slave to two woofies, and I'm from the UK.
I gained weight after my second pregnancy, which never seemed to shift, but I was comfortable with it, being in the 10 stone mark. After losing both my parents and my beloved dog within just a few years of each other, I gained more weight due to grief and depression.
I slowly crept up to 13 stone (182 pounds) and in a size 16/18 UK dress size.
I didn't leave the house in over a year and it wasn't until I got another dog, that I started to get out more. Since then I have become a lot more active, I walk the dogs everyday ( I have 2 now) no shorter than a hour, sometimes up to 4 hrs depending on the weather.
I go for a 40min jog each morning and 10mins on the vibrapower slim machine when I get back and aim to do this 6 days a week (I take Saturdays off).
I've been using the MyFitnessPal for a week now, and I've been watching my calorie intake and I've selected my total intake at 1200 calories a day - I have only gone over this once but I was very active that day (burn over a 1000 calories walking/jogging that day) and needed the extra fuel!
I don't have a set goal for the month but it would be nice to join in and hopefully see the weight come off with your help!

Hi guys. The names Robert and I'm from Syracuse, New York. This is the first time I'm attempting this challenge. I've been dieting and working out for two weeks now. My goal is to lose 76 pounds to get to my goal of 175lbs. I've already lost 11.2 lbs with significantly changing my diet, but I've been worried about losing track so I'm looking for friends to hold me accountable. I'm excited to try this challenge and it would be awesome if you all added me as a friend on here!11

Hi All,
I'm Anya from California. I lost 10 lbs last year on MFP, but it has been slowly creeping back on. I know what I need to do, but haven't been able to stay motivated to count calories and log. I'm looking forward to working with all of you. I have, however, stuck with my weight lifting regime 1 1/2 years. I'm 56, and stronger than I've ever been in my life. It'll be nice to peel some fat off and see the muscle haha!

Hello everyone! This challenge is exactly what I need right now.
My name is John, I'm 30, and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I'm trying to cut, but have really struggled with the last 5-10 pounds because I have a habit of snacking when I'm stressed at work. But I think a challenge like this, taken day by day, will help me immensely with that. It's nice to meet you all.5 -
Hiya, I'm Sarah. I've been trying to lose the same ten pounds for the past 3 years. I'm easily discouraged, so when the weight doesn't come off right away, I tend to say, you know, "Screw it", and then I'm right back where I started. I'm hoping this group will help me stick with my goals.7
-
Looking forward to the July Challenge. The 2nd part of June has been an unexpected struggle. I've figured out that getting enough sleep is key to everything else I do. That will be a main focus for me moving forward. I've also helped my sons get some weights set up in our garage and I'm enjoying being able to use them in addition to cardio type activities. Plan to stay the course in July! This will be my second challenge month.7

First timer! Going to give this a go! I used mfp to lose baby weight (and then some) twice. But over the past few years I have let 15lbs creep back on. I started tracking again a week ago and am already feeling so much more in control and motivated. I'm going to be on vacation for more than half of July so I know I especially need motivation and accountability to not give in to 'vacation mode=eat all the stuff'. (Nearly) 35 year old Canadian mama to 3.6

Hi, I'm Gabby First time doing the challenge. Excited!5

Hi I'm catherine, 33 from Lancashire in the uk. I have a husband and two cats.
This is my first time on this challenge, but have completed many others over the last year. This one is a little intimidating but I think it's what I need.
I've lost 31 pounds over the last year and have around 40 to go, but that's a guess as I've never been slim.
Starting at the deep end as I have a family wedding on the first and a baby shower on the 8th, so much cake opportunity!
Good luck everyone!9 -
Just joined up. Going to give this a try
46 male from England.
Used MFP before, tried other apps but I think the data base here is one of the best
I've hit a wall. Just 12,2 stone. Want to try and get under 12 stone8 -
Good morning!! New to the group -- Time to get back into control.

Great to see such motivated people.
This will be my crack at a new challenge. I have let my "my Fitness Pal" tracking slide lately and my goal is to sign in and track daily for the month and keep myself accountable.
Thanks... see you all

30+ year old momma of one from Oklahoma. I've recently returned to MFP, and have been dabbling at finding an accountability group until today. This challenge sounds like it's right up my alley. Looking forward to it!
Goals: Finish in the Winner's Circle here, lose 1 lb/week on average for a total of 4 lbs in July.6 -

Bethany---You are totally singing my tune there. We can do this! I have slacked off but need to consistently log on MFP too, because I don't stay on track and fudge on the details if not. That's okay though. Success is sweet...let's do this thing! Ha!3 -
First time challenger here and I'm excited but terrified at the same time! I'm at 1220 calories daily and that freaks me out. I've used MFP off and on for 7 years. After looking at my weight stats from the past 5-6 years I'm in the exact same weight place (give or take 5 pounds). UGH!
I'm 48 and live in Ohio, mother of a daughter going to school in England and a sassy border collie. I've been an Ultra runner for the past 6 years. I had foot surgery at the end of October and have recently started back to a running schedule. My weaknesses are strength training, sweets and snacks, however, I do eat regularly very healthy. I want to finally break the sugar habit. Not sure what it will take to break through the weight barrier I have but I figured I'd give this a shot and see what happens!7
