Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

@craigo3154 I believe you to be a great motivational tool on UAC and your daily posts on your own wall. Thank you for taking the time to help others who struggle with daily life challenges. You are a positive person and those who know you on MFP and in real life are lucky to have you around. Just wanted you to know that your encouraging words mean something to me.

@craigo3154 "Last point is that you cannot make a habit that is too uncomfortable or restrictive. Longer term you will un-learn the habit to remove the discomfort or restriction."

    Totally totally agree with you!!

Today marks Pass #3 in my July journey with UAC. Tracking and caloric intake were great. However, the intentional swim I planned for today with my little girl didn't happen. My aunt has a pool, and when we arrived there to swim were greeted by several family members. They were so excited to see us and visit that I just went with it and wound up visiting and watching everyone take turns playing with the Peanut. I wasn't able to get any exercise in this evening either. I really enjoyed the day though it's my last free day for the month. Gotta get back into the swing tomorrow. *Big Smile*

@craigo3154 I feel excited for you to be so close to goal!!!

Pass Day #2 for me. I ended up out for lunch and then high-tea for my Mothers birthday, went over calories at night and was really tired so didn't exercise. I also had a plan that one of the days this weekend would be a pass day so I'm not too stressed about it. I know I can stay on track during such things if I put my mind to it.

    Pass Day#1
Just a bit over my calorie limit. Darn. We were away from home this weekend and I did super well until we got home tonight! I was tired, hot and hungry. I had a big bowl of cereal plus 2 mini mars bars. Yikes!! 86 calories over.

@Dosse1320 Sometimes a calorie splurge just sneaks up on us!! You are doing great, so a minor wobble will not upset your overall balance. You are a moderator...stable and firm!

    My report:
Calories: about 200 under the limit
Tracking: good, that helped me skip an ice cream offered to me by my beloved, Rose. She ate one.
Exercise: lazy day walking for 25 minutes. Muscles sore from yesterday's exertions.

@trixsey1. First and foremost, Really glad you enjoyed it.

Doesn't matter if you are first or last, it's whether you feel you have done well inside yourself.

My daughter is not much of a sports person (in fact she is clever enough to almost avoid sport entirely at school, usually helps out, but not on the field :) ). She must occasionally do some races (like house cross country), but usually does not enjoy them. My wife and I have the attitude of: "It is better to do something than nothing" and "If you improve your own performance, that is all that can be asked". PB's (personal bests) are celebrated more than any placings within the field.

You probably felt better finishing in the last 10 than most of the mid-fielders.
    - You did the 5K.
    - You enjoyed the run.
    - You have a benchmark to now improve on (if you even want to track it).

Keep at it, you are doing great.

Thank you both! It was great fun, brilliant people, very welcoming.
Men and women, all shapes and sizes, different abilities and you can walk/jog/run at your own pace.

To just actually finish the run was an accomplishment - I felt really pleased with myself, the Marshal (the main organiser) took my photo too, as I was the only "first timer" there.
The other peeps were regular runners, or new to the area. The run was over the same place I take my dogs so I know the area well.

Looking forward to the next one.

Yes x 3. And I'm pretty pleased as I was in airports all day. I had a two hour layover and spent 45 minutes walking the terminals. Might have looked lost to the casual observer, but felt better when I'd moved a bit!
