Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

In today's world, it is supposed to be a virtue to be a multi-tasker. That is not me. I'm boringly incremental. One step at a time!
Rick
BTW: @aeshippers Is that one of your NZ birds?
9 -
That's a puffin Rick which is a British coastal bird.
Had a much better day with the stress eating today also managed one of @2020pinktogo 's negative calorie lunches. There's a winter storm coming through at the moment so didn't bike to work as I would have got very wet and cold on the way home, instead went for a longish run at lunchtime burning 390 cals and my lunch of soup, bread and fruit came in at 359 cals.
Also managed 20 minutes rowing this morning.
Tracking and calories were good.
@gus130 - hope you're feeling better soon, you're doing so well managing as much as you do with the chemo.8 -

Exercised?: Maybe. (Will update later if I manage to get through my regular 20+ min strength routine - 1st pass day if not - will report tomorrow on this).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Short sleep (as reported on the 10th). Still recovering from food poisoning. Good thing is that I now feel I can eat normally. (lower half of digestive system still needs to recover).
Well short on calories as could only stomach a small tub of greek yogurt before lunch. Fortunately exceeded daily protein goal .
Had to get up early (4:30am) after late night to catch flight for the day for work. This was critical to set up 3 months work later in the year and not able to be delayed or skipped. Equivalent distance of Washington D.C. to Orlando (Florida).
Back home again now (after dark, so no chance to walk outside) and looking forward to a good sleep tonight.
Hope to read through all the goings on in the group, but will should have time for that tomorrow.
@aeshippers. Good photo (even if seemingly hiding behind phone).
@gus130 - Chemo can be rough. Well done for doing what you can through treatment. Please keep checking in. We all hope it gets everything and you make a full recovery.4 -
Blergh.. Today was a rough day symptom wise.
But, nonetheless:
- went to bench press class
- ate within my calories
- logged everything.
Now, please, heart rate to below 120 so I can sleep...7 -
Exercise is done. Need the miles to help me deal with my sister. She is so aggressive I have decided we do great in different states.7

Exercised?: Yes - burnt over 1600 calories, jogging, cross trainer..
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
On top of that, cleaned through the house, walked into town, shopped and back home (60 mins) then went a long walk with the dogs (mixed terrain, 60 mins) and very wet!
Under my limit on the calories, and tracked everything.

Hello Everyone! I love Puffins!! So cute. I used to have a picture of one in my office because it always made me smile. I also like the Blue Footed Boobies with their adorable baby blue feet and legs. Puffins can be found in the NE of US and Canada too. But we have Blue Footers in CA!!! Sometimes when I am running, I feel like I am flying. Guess that is as close as I will ever be to actually flying.
Sending lots of hugs and best wishes your way @Gus130.
@craigo3154 - I hope you get all the way better soon. No fun traveling and working when you have a GI bug!
@aeshippers and @ColwellCat - Way to go adjusting your workouts burning those calories. Speaking of burning cals, awesome burn @trixsey1!!!
I got in over 6 miles running on the trails this morning and feeling good about staying on track today.... and relieved to be back home without all the food temptations. That being said, I had an amazing time in Carmel with my husband!!!9 -
PASS #1
I have tracked but had a very sedentary day after going a bit too hard yesterday.4 -

exercise 5 mins of crunches and 25 mins of stat bike6 -
Exercise: around an hour of Rugby training, which was pretty rough today as we were focusing on rucking. I'll have some nice bruises tomorrow!
Kcl: 1454/1460
Tracked: yep. I had a blip at lunch and nearly went over though. My lovely fruit was absolutely battered so I swapped it for 2 snack aero bars instead. 300kcl wasted on chocolate. It did feel good though5 -

Exercised?: Maybe. (Will update later if I manage to get through my regular 20+ min strength routine - 1st pass day if not - will report tomorrow on this).
...
Routine includes:
Warm-up- 20 push ups
- 30 star jumps
- 20 sit ups
- 20 squats (no weight)
- 20 door frame single arm pulls (20 each arm)
- 20 push ups
- 1min forearm plank
- 10 lunges (10 each leg - 20 in total)
- 15 jump squats
- 15 inclined push ups
- 20 door frame single arm pulls (20 each arm)
- Single A40 abs set (10 butterfly kicks, 10 crunches, 10 V-crunches, 10 leg raises - no gaps)
- Calf stretch
- Quad stretch
- Hamstring stretch
All of this can be done almost anywhere as it requires no equipment and very little room (and works most major muscle groups - arms, chest, back, abs, legs). Rep numbers can be varied to alter difficulty. Most exercises can be modified for difficulty with technique too (physics and leverage principles).

July 11:
Exercise?: As I mentioned in my check-in for yesterday (posted this morning,) I skipped the gym this morning out of a need to reset myself a bit. Fit in 29 minutes of logged walking during the course of the day.
Plank?: Yes, just completed that minutes ago.
Calories? Yes, with 238 to spare.
Tracked?: Yes, all 27 gummy bears at work and the gum and mints I used to keep me from further bad choices.
Gotta get back to the gym tomorrow, aiming for a slow 35-40 minute run.7 -
Pass 5. No exercise. No energy.5
-
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes..45 minute Strength and Power Fusion class, followed by a 30 minute Stability Ball Sculpt class.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep4 -

3 yeses today. Calories by a narrow margin though. I'm glad I was too busy to eat my entire salad at lunch...otherwise I would have gone over with dinner. Small graces you know. I'm definitely starting to struggle to keep my momentum. Cravings are rearing their ugly heads daily now. Yikes habits are so hard to change!6

Exercise: couldn't run today had to do something after work and it got too late. 35 min of yoga, shoulda been 40 min but the dog kept licking my face and I had to stop short
Calories: 150 under, yesterday too, even w/an evening snack and a chocolate Covered banana for dessert. I need to take a protein snack to work with me.
Tracked: everything
30 day yoga challenge: 11 days done
Miles: 0 today
Lesson learned: ALthough I'm doing very well with not eating too much I need to put more calories in the daytime. I need a good protein snack
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!4 -
Yikes....pass day 2. I did no form of organized exercise, and the cleaning and moving around I did were of a sporadic nature and not organized. I did track and kept under calories but barely.
I have to find my exercise mojo. I think my body just needed a break for a few days, but I have to keep on. I can not will this weight off.3 -

Pass #2
I would have made it if I hadn't made my tacos too spicy so I had to down 2 cups of milk.
This is my first UAC and I am still learning. I don't think I will make it to the winner's circle as I will be going out of town twice this month. I'm going to take it one day at a time and do as much of the challenge as I can6 -
