First background I have had a kidney transplant just over 2 years ago. So I see my Nephrologist kidney doctor regularly. Last I saw him was about 3 1/2 months ago I had not started keto yet at that point.
Today's visit he came into the room and said "you've lost more then 20 lbs good job."
I then told him about starting the keto diet. He responded that he was eating that way too, but he had only lost 10 lbs. (he is very tiny guy)
All my labs were good even cholesterol (it was in the ideal range) and my blood pressure was very good.
He left with telling me he was proud of me and because of the diet and great improvements he wouldn't need to see me for 4-5 months.
