Fourth of July Plans? Strategies?

It's gonna be really weird not marching in the 4th of July parade with my marching bands kids! They've all graduated and I'm off the hook! I'll still watch the parade and cheer on the other kids we know. Invited to a BBQ before the fireworks, so I'll see more of them there... Just have to remember to take some diet soda with me. I'm not a big sweets eater, but I will have to work to avoid the potato chip table!

    Working 12 hour shift but determined not to partake of the potluck at work except for the healthy stuff

    It was pretty easy this year -- I was able to make a dish for our picnic with produce from my CSA box and actually may make it again (involved sweet potato, beets, kale, some grains, cranberries, walnuts, so would be a good Thanksgiving or fall side). Most of the picnic stuff was reasonably healthy.

    I need to do better running first thing in the morning, though, since when it gets hot I have been blowing off my runs.
