Newbie Here - ready to start Monday!

Hi guys,
I went to the library looking for a book on Paleo and I ran across this one and just thought that the author spoke to me. I think this is something that I can do. I'm looking to get healthy. My cholesterol numbers were horrible and for the first time my sugar was elevated. I'm 45 years old and about 20 lbs overweight - I quit smoking 16 months ago and counting. I have a very bad back, herniations and ruptured discs as well as sciatica in both legs - so I have to be very careful in choosing what exercises I do ... but I Think that a beginning to getting stronger and healthier is better than what I've been doing.
Im going to read as much of the book as I can this weekend, clean out my pantries and fridge tomorrow and do a whole new food shopping and start my 6 week plan on Monday. Hope to find lots of inspiration and diet buddies here
