can someone please explain why myfitnesspal has 11 carbohydrates in a shot, 1 1/2 ounces, of vodka. I looked everywhere and plain vodka from the nutritional website says unless it's flavored, it has 0 carbs.

because a member has made an incorrect entry.
Try a different entry. 1 shot (1.5 fl. oz.) is 96 cal, 0 carbs.

It's often because alcohol itself is a macronutrient (contains 7 kcals per gram), but since MFP doesn't have a line for it and calories have to come from somewhere, it often gets thrown under carbs. This is actually the ideal place to put it, even if it's wrong. Better to undershoot carbs than protein or fats, due a an incorrect entry.
