    @RalfLott - Frankly, after the many decades of abuse I've done myself, I was quite shocked to have positive results like that! I'm still not quite sure what it all means. I know that -1.0 is supposed to be something of concern, and one of my numbers was -0.9, but I honestly can't find anywhere that tells me what the heck any of it means!

    Which test would that have been? You can't beat 0 on a CAC...

    The DEXA scan, left hip or something, if I recall. The numbers are supposed to be above -1.0 to be considered average for your age. All I got with my report was "you're average for your age," which we ALL know is never enough data! I'll see if I can post the text part of my results for context.

    Technique: Imaging of the lumbar spine and bilateral hips performed.

    Findings:
    The average bone mineral density of the lumbar spine measured at L1 and L3 is 1.020 g/cm squared. The average T score of the lumbar spine is 0.1.

    Left hip average T score measures 1.2. Left femoral neck T score measures -0.9.

    Right hip average T score measures 1.0. Right femoral neck T score measures 0.0.

    Impression:
    This patient is considered normal according to the World Health Organization criteria. Fracture risk is low.

    Sorry, but I'm no expert on bone density (vitamins D & K have not improved my intelligence, alas). I'll dig out my test results and see what I can remember, but there are surely many others in these parts who know the area much better than I do.
