I'm new to Keto and really looking forward to giving it a good bash.
Has anyone got any hints/tips/essentials or secrets to getting the best out of it?

Sorry that nobody has answered you.
You do a combo of eating your maintenance calories with 30 carbs a day.
If you overeat, you will not lose weight.
Make your carbs count. Avocado has so much fiber that it is almost free.
Be sure to eat your 30 carbs spaced out over the day.
Be sure to eat enough fiber so that your bowels move properly.
Drink water to prevent constipation.
If you get constipated, use a magnesium product like oxy powder
or a tablespoon of organic Castor Oil in some grapefruit juice (watch the carbs).
There are many good books and pdf's on keto...read some of them.0
