Two Halfs Too Close Together?

I completed my first half on May 5th of this year. Currently training for my next Half on September 7. And then I have another Half on October 19.
Since I'm already registered for September & October, this question is a bit after the fact, but I'm wondering now if I scheduled those two halfs too close together? I know I'll need some down time after the September half, and I'm wondering how I should be 'retraining' for the October half in a relatively short time frame.

You can run a half marathon every weekend of the month if you like. Of course there's the matter of racing one vs. running one but it's not that big of a deal. If you're training for a marathon it's nothing to run 13+ miles every weekend.
Pick one and race it. Run the other for enjoyment. Although with several weeks between you can race both easily.0 -
I just ran my first half marathon on Sat (9/21) and I have a second one Sat 10/26 (exactly 5 weeks later). The first one I ran hard and came in 3 minutes slower than what my ideal goal was so I'm super happy with that! The one in Oct I am going to be running as a pacer for someone who wants to compete it within 27 minutes slower than my time so it would be a comfortable pace not a strict race pace. I agree with the above about running one at your "race pace" and maybe not pushing quite so hard on the other (most likely the latter).0

I have a half Oct 20th and Nov 9th. I know for me it works I've run a half and full back to back. Good luck with your races and training.0
