I habe been for the last five days on a very low carb intake (less than 5 grms). I feel great but I have a burning scalp. Has anyone experienced that?

No. But I've never eaten that low carb. <20 but not ~5.
Do a google search like "Burning Scalp Keto" and you'll see lots of information. It is common enough that it is all over the internet. Apparently there is also something referred to as "keto rash". Could be one and the same, just happening in your scalp?
Generally the suggestion is to up your carbs. Were you eating low carb before? Just not that low?1 -
No burning scalp... but I have noticed that my skin has been dryer, and therefore gets irritated easier. Maybe something similar is happening to your scalp?1

Dry skin is likely related to dehydration from low sodium. Check out the electrolyte sticky to find out more about sodium needs on low carb.1

The very first time I tried going low carb my face turned red and felt like it was burning too. I raised my carbs a bit and that stopped. Now I just try to stay around 20 net carbs and it works for me.

I got this whenever I would work my body hard enough to sweat. It showed most on my face and arms, and felt alarmingly like a sunburn. I started wiping down with witch hazel and moisturizing with coconut oil. I also switched to co-washing (washing my hair with a conditioning shampoo - aka no suds - and only one "wash/condition" nothing else...). The combination pretty much neutralized all the burning sensation. It had to do with the toxins and burned fat residue that I was burning and sweating out... When we burn fat it comes out many ways, as carbon dioxide on our exhale, in urine as waste, through sweat glands/sweat, etc. So I guess, overall it is a good thing...just must be managed in whatever way works for you.0
