loving them Chris!. Only got in 2 sets. Watching my grand puppy for the weekend. Libby would not take it easy!

Time to swing us some kettles!

    Shelley
  • Looks great, thanks. Is the press 20 left and 20 right or 10 each side?

Hi @HuckletheHeffalump!! Welcome to our little group.

Yes, I do 10 on the left and 10 on the right. I think my arm would fall off if I tried 20 each side. Yes, I think it would. :D

We have our trainer this morning then I have lunch w/friends to celebrate a birthday. One friend's DH has cancer. This may not be a happy lunch, but I have my fingers crossed.

    Chris
  • Thanks @cpanus. 10 each side is tough enough. I love kettlebells but find presses and anything over the head difficult

Hi Huckle! I love kettlebells myself. Welcome to our circle of friends!.

Chris I hope you had a good lunch despite health issues. Did not get a workout in. Found myself running hubby around. Then did maintenance on the aquariums. Went to dinner over at a friends home. Their home is small and beautiful. Very peacefully. Then we came home and decided to play our Xbox 360. It needed almost an hours worth of updates! Can't remember how many years ago we played it last. By then we were falling asleep. :( We used to stay up all night.

I have tomorrow off. Going to clean house and do a kettle bell DVD.

I'm doing this today. I may have to go lighter on the PRESS because of my neck. Our trainer is out of town until next Monday, so I'm on my own for a few days. Kettlebells and TRX for me!!

I did this yesterday and it felt good! We saved 1/2 or 3/4 of our library collection. Building is now in the hands of the contractors who are removing sheetrock and dehumidifying the building. Will take 16 weeks to build a new AC unit. Didn't know big AC units like that have to be custom built. On the upside the County is determined to rebuild fast and I may get to knock down a wall I've wanted to remove. And I won a drawing and got a Fitbit Flex 2! Waiting for it to come in

Clara so good to hear some positive news! And great job n the win! B)

Walked the kids today. Have to get used to saying kids now that we have a female puppy! Oscar loves his stroller. So we get to walk much faster now. It is really smokey from all the fires in Montana and here. Just awful for everyone effected by the storms and fires.

Got everything crossed for Rocky. I hope everything goes as planned. I have arthritis in my neck, and it bugs the hell out of me. It started a couple of months ago. Thought it was just lifting the baby. MAN!! I should buy stock in ibuprofen...

Walking this morning w/DH then meeting w/our trainer for some yoga. Our trainer is helping with my neck issue too.

Have a great Saturday, my friends.

Chris, Did the naproxen (Aleve) help with your neck arthritis too? Arthritis is so crippling, especially if it affects your Ronan-Cuddles!

Yesterday I didn't let a car cut in front of me (by speeding up to match her speeding up) and she drove into the oncoming traffic lane which shocked me. When I realized she wasn't going to drop back, no matter what I did, I decreased speed to let the bully in anyway. As I started back, she swung her car into mine. There was a 15 ditch on the right.

Long story short, no witness stopped, she lied about what happened, and there was almost no damage to either vehicle or person. The responding officer gave us a friendly lecture on road rage, said the insurance companies would probably find it to be a 50/50 blame, had us exchange information and did not write up a report. He told me I should not have held my place and should have let her in. I know I shouldn't have sped up to stop her from cutting me off, but it infuriates me that bullies can get away with stuff just because they're are bullies and we are supposed to let them. I was shaking and in a bit of shock at the time, and just followed the officer's lead. In retrospect, I think the other driver attacked me with a deadly vehicle.

Went to the mechanic and the doctor. If no pain increases, I probably just have slightly pulled muscles and anxiety. My PTSD is kicking in, scary people do that t9 me. I wouldn't put it past her to file a claim saying it was my fault and trying to collect for damages.

Also, my Mom is having difficulty getting up even with help, and almost killed her dog putting down the recliner footrest (had 2 teeth shattered, lucky it wasn't her skull). My siblings and I are working out how to take care of her, but wondering when it will be time for her to need more care.

What's that old Chinese curse, "may you live in interesting times"? I'm so tired of this year.

Paula I'm so glad you are okay. What a *kitten*! I really dislike bullies, too. I give them the finger signal a lot. My DH and DDD yell at me that it's going to get me killed but, man!

I hope muscle is okay and your PTSD goes away. And that your car is okay. Call your insurance broker and tell her/him what happened before *kitten*-bully does.

The Aleve helped for two days then didn't. This is just nagging. We use rubs too. Sometimes is goes then it comes back. **sigh**

Can you get someone from Hospice to come out and help your mother? They came out and helped Nick a lot...and us. They were great.

DDD had a night migraine and had the hangover this morning, so we didn't have our Saturday yoga session. I shopped and made soup instead.

    Sunday is a new day.

    Chris,

I hope DDD feels better... migraines are seriously the pits. Sorry the Aleve stopped working. Can you switch up your painkillers so that you don't build up tolerances.

    Hope everyone feels better.

Chris thank you for caring. So sorry about the arthritis. Pain can be so debilitating! I also want you to think about a grandmother who upset another driver. Not sure the whole situation. Just the results. The other driver shot a round into her vehicle killing her toddler grandson. These are crazy ties. Do Not Flip or make contact with bullies in any way! Period. This is officer mom speaking! B)

And Paula! I love you to much to have you taken way from me by a bully! Do not make eye contact! Do not engage! Do not gesture! Do not speed up to make a point. You could have started a dominos effect that left someone killed! Road rage is illegal in most states and you could have been cited for it. Yes I would have posted bond for you. Then made you do burpees. Get a car camera if you want to possible catch some bully and have the evidence against them. I am so sorry for the little dog. What a horrible thing for them both to have to go through. I would be devastated to know I hurt one of my little angels.

NowI must go try and catch a mouse. Sara brought me a present and released it! Darn cat!

And yes I hate people who think they can bully everyone on the roads. Whatever do they do when they meet each other?

Shelley, ...okay, :| I won't. I'll be good. But what about the creep who tried to run over us while we were crossing the street w/Bean yesterday? Never looked...made a left turn on a green WALK sign and came with in about 3 feet of running over Bean...I yelled at him as he was making the turn and after he crossed the crosswalk. When he looked into his mirror, he waved...I did too...but with a lot fewer fingers. DH and I were both wearing bright red shirts. It's not like were are tiny little things crossing the street either. MAN!!

Did you catch the mouse? They are not my favorite animal, you know. Just thinking about it loose in your house gives me the chills.

I have not caught the darn little creature. But Sara is camping out in the room I saw it in. She had better kill it!

I do not blame you guys for being upset. Pedestrians are in more danger. I yell at drivers when they come close to running me over myself! As pedestrians we have to be more vigilante. Right or wrong does not enter into it. only your safety does. Bicycles also pose dangers. Some riders are rude and dangerous to my little guys! I wish I had an easy fix for unsafe, rude, uncaring drivers! I see people who work in the court house getting into their cars and drive and text leaving the parking lot! We need stricter penalties. Maybe shaming them on highway cleanup crews. I do not know. I just want you to be safe. Keep your camera ready in case you need to get a license.

Paint balls, Shelley. With paint that won't wash off their cars.

Yeah! DH and I talk about using paint balls all the time! We fire our imaginary paint ball guns at the offenders!! I do a twirling side-shot move that is pretty slick! :p

Lol, I love the paint ball idea you guys! How about bottled skunk juice to throw at them? Splashes all over their shiny vehicles! :p
