BS Question

I just checked my BS because I'm not feeling well, very tired and sluggish. I anticipated that my sugar may have been high even though I've eaten really well today. To my surprise it was lower than normal at 85. I know this is technically in the good range and a number I would like to keep but is it possible to feel bad because I'm not used to being that low? I normally am 106 - 120 range before I eat. It has slowly been coming down over the last few months with diet and exercise changes. A few months ago I would have been 120 - 140 before eating.
Or maybe I just don't feel good today.

We learned in our Living Well with Diabetes class that your body gets used to the BS range you've been in and thinks of that range as normal. Then when your BS numbers go down, your body says "this is not my normal" and you don't feel well. After a few days of being in the new lower range, your body will re-adjust, and then this is it's new normal. Hope that helped explain why you weren't feeling well even though your #s were good. Keep up the good work!0
