What is keto and intermittent fasting? Please explain.
Basically keto is low carb so body burns fat as fuel rather than using glucose in carbs. Fasting is skipping a meal or a day of eating so body used stored fat as fuel rather than the meal you eat.
Haven't tried myself but have been researching.1 -

Is "starting weight" our weight at the beginning of this challenge, or our weight at the beginning of our weight-loss journey? It seems some have posted one, and some have posted the other...so I am not sure which to give.

I am awesome with exercise. Mostly need to avoid unhealthy grazing after dinner. I just picked a bunch of apples, so plan to eat one after dinner if hungry.0 -

Plan to start first day of primal eats on Monday and exercise will be a combination of elliptical and HIT this week. I find I have better focus when I eat clean and exercise regularly. Key is to dodge all the office feeders and not give in to the 2 pm slumps.0 -

I had a pretty bad weekend with too many carbs! Hoping the baby sleeps in in the am so I can get my workouts in first thing. I go more for moderation rather than keto or IF. If I feel deprived, I binge!
Great job @chocolate_owl I did NOT do either of those things this past week!!! I always do better when I log.
@sushlaing I need to work on carb reduction this week. My weekend was bad.
@RMC1995 How long did it take you to get from 152 to 125? What did you do? That is my ultimate goal weight. I am really struggling with baby weight right now.1 -

For another challenge I weighed myself for 10 days straight to see fluctuation. Was down 139.6 last week. TOM and back where started. Not going to let it bother me and throw in towel.
New goal .... Hopefully by next week back to starting at 1401 -
Hi @KellyBgetsfit It took me right around 6 months to lose the 26 pounds, but honestly I got off to a really really slow start in the beginning. I was not logging consistently AT ALL. Since June 11 I have lost 19 pounds so just over 3 months to lose almost 20 pounds. I have to say that logging EVERY SINGLE FOOD item EVERY SINGLE DAY and joining the monthly accountability chats on this group is what really kept me to my goals. I needed the extra community support and I needed to be 100% honest with myself about what I was eating. I notice that if I have a "bad day" as long as I still log I don't feel terrible - just make it up over the next few days/week to get back at it. But if I just DON'T log the foods on my bad days, I''ll find myself doing that over and over again and not making any real change. I hope that helps!4

Definitely need the motivation of this group! I am officially starting MFP calorie counting (1200 calories) and my 2x daily exercise regimen tomorrow (Monday) to try and lose 20lbs by Christmas. And the remaining 11 lbs after Christmas. See weight stats below:

I knew I wouldn't lose weight this week - I spent 12 hours on plane rides plus 12 hours in a car this week. Work trip plus family events meant I ate very differently from normal. I worked hard on trying to stay close to maintenance, and I'm pretty happy where I ended up. It's a new week0
