I'm a curdmudgeon on the outside and a marshmallow on the inside. I am so happy so see so many of our beloved team mates back for the October Challenge. Thank you so much! I get lonely without you!

It's great to be back and after a poor August and a worse September I finally feel that I've got my head back in the right place for October.
Cycled to work again today and stopped off at the park to do some upper body strength. So great now that spring is here and I'm cycling in the daylight
Calories and tracking were good too.5 -
Today was great, and I am definitely looking forward to this month.
Exercise: Yes - 30 minute HIT workout at home plus walking the dog for 45 minutes.
Calories: Yes - again calories were great but really need to increase my water intake.

Slept in again woke up with a sinus headache. Did 2 miles and now off to work switched outfits too. Yesterday was so busy so today I am wearing slacks and not a dress. I'm in drive thru they can only see the top part of me anyway. Til later!4

@SimonsChange. Let me second that. No Wednesday workout. Make it a pass day and even go slightly over on calories (make sure you hit protein goal, but lighter on the fats). Fuel the body so it's ready for Thursday.
(Like a pro boxer chowing down on pasta after the pre-fight weigh-in. Carbo loading).
On Thursday only light meals or snacks (if at all) before the test. Do not want to be digesting food while testing. Pre-test eating should be protein with carbohydrate (and minimal fats) - faster to digest and therefore provides quicker energy. Fine to do test fasted if you are adequately fuelled from the day before (and do feel the need to eat).
This is trying to get optimum performance, not weight loss (or management). Different goals, different rules.
Best of luck.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes (21 day fix upper body....I picked up my old DVD set that I had lying around yesterday when I decided enough was enough and I was going to get off the couch and take control of my health. I'm soooo sore from yesterday, but I know it's worth it! I figure when I try to come downstairs at 5:45 to do lower body tomorrow I'm going to be a hot mess. I just hope my groans don't wake my kids! LOL)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - I'm pretty significantly under (Shooting for around 1650 each day, but I was so busy today that I didn't eat as much as I needed. I clocked in right around 1225)
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes! Love that this is going to keep me accountable to track everything!
****I want to add I'm not a Beachbody coach. I just happen to like their workout programs (if I'd ever do them consistently) and own several...plus it's easier for me to work out at home in the morning than later in the day.5 -

I was so hungry on Monday. My thought was how much can I shove in my face. Instead I had an apple cut up with 1 Tbs of crunchy peanut butter. I ate it slow enjoying every bite. Amazing how something simple can taste so good when you are famished. I was amazed at how fast that filled me up. A victory for me over hunger. Yea!

Calories: I was unusually low on calories today. I actually forgot that I had not eaten any lunch until I got the hypoglycemic nausea about 3:30 pm. Then I ate a Kind bar.
Exercise: 15 minutes preparation for movement stretches and then 45 minutes of cardio/strength intervals. Jump rope cycles between pushup intervals.
Tracking; Ok4
