Today I went to my annual eye exam and had an enlightening conversation with my doctor about what high A1C levels do to the eye.
Apparently, it impacts vascular health and can result in the microcapilaries in the eye leaking out red blood cells. If you don't wear glasses, or don't do an annual check up, BUT have struggled with high A1C levels (9-10) get those peepers checked!

Oh yeah! I talked to my eye doc about that last visit - very important. He said he discovers about one diabetic person per week who didn't know they had blood sugar issues at all.

My eyes were 'decent', but I have really bad vision. ;-P
