Hi everyone,
I haven’t been on for a long time. I was doing great but after I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism my depression threw me completely off track. Now that my thyroid is undercontrol thanks to medication.. I am no longer on antidepressants and feel amazing! I had no idea that my thyroid was the cause of my depression...

Weight loss update:
I decided to hire a personal trainer to help me with my weight loss journey. She is really good! However, she recommends a low carb and low fat diet. I did LCHF diet before but do you think it’s safe to do LCLF diet? I need to lose 75 lbs but I want to make sure I do this the correct way. Also, eating low carb is bringing my total calories down pretty low. At this rate MyFitnessPal is going to say that I am way under and going into starvation mode. I’m eating and full but extremely low calories. I also have the worst headache ever. Today is day two of eating like this. I didn’t have headaches on LCHF but I know it could happen from reading the forum. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate.

Thank you so very much!

The 75 pounds you have to lose counts as fat.

That said, you still need some dietary fat to support hormones and for general health so hopefully she isn't trying to get you to go too low.
I think somewhere around 50g, give or take because I'm just going from memory here, is around the minimum you'd want take in.

On this chart you'll notice the fat intake is lower on weight loss low carb diets and higher in maintenance and for weight gain.
Protein is higher in weight loss because you gotta eat something...

    Excellent answer @sunny_bunny. End thread!

Regarding the headache @mayabrooks025 be sure to keep your electrolytes in balance. Upping sodium may help with that if you have no medical reason to not increase it.
