Everyone says it, but just how do you do it? How do you take the guidelines of the WW program and turn them into a lifestyle you can live every day...from now on? That is what we are here to explore. I've been trying to evaluate where my biggest issues are with LTL and as I reflect back, one of the things I have let go is eating breakfast lunch and dinner. I just haven't felt like eating breakfast, but that seems to set me up for struggles later in the day.

I never plan to skip a meal but sometimes all day meetings result in being on someone else's meal schedule. When I get too hungry, then I often find myself overeating when I finally get a chance to eat.

I turn into the Creature from the Black Lagoon if I skip a meal...seriously it's scary.

Anyone who knows me knows that I always carry snacks because of it. I like my blood sugar stable or I get HANGRY with a capital H.

I love that this is the question today because I almost posted a thread about whether folks skip meals, or simply alter their meals, when they anticipate having to deal with a larger meal later in the day.

I try not to skip meals. But, I really don't like to eat unless I am hungry. If I am not hungry, I will not eat just because it is time to eat. So, yeah, occasionally, I will skip a meal. Or, I might eat a smaller snack if I note mild hunger, but it's not long until the next meal.

This is me too - and then I overeat.

If I don't eat a meal I am a bear. If I chance missing a meal it's usually breakfast. My dietitian has stated that it is the meal that fuels you and to be sure to at least get it in. The older I get the worse it seems to be for missing a meal as far as low sugar. I used to sorta laugh at people when they said they had low sugar if they missed a meal or something like that. Not anymore for example if It's getting around 2:00 pm and I haven't eaten my hands start shaking I feel really weird. I guess that's low sugar or whatever one would call it.

I can deal with the hunger part of it pretty easy. If I'm all about being in a busy project I can surely work right on through. I do pay for it in the end.

It can. I usually try to have something around (fruit, nuts, protein bar, etc.) so even if I miss a meal, I'm not going to go off the deep end. However, even if I go crazy with one meal, that's not the end of the world either. I didn't get fat with one outlier.

Depends. Breakfast? nope. Don't usually eat within a hour of arising. Lunch? more so. Can't remember skipping dinner. I don't "skip" on purpose but may eat a bit less after an indulgent day or meal. Ìf I have special lunch out I eat lighter healtny dinner.

Yes. I very rarely miss a meal. But in the Irma evacuation I missed a couple. No real damage to my maintaining efforts, but since you bring it up, a reminder. I operate like a baby with a feeding schedule and I'm not ashamed to say so.
