I brought in October in true lush fashion over the weekend. Fire pit and red wine was the theme. 0 tonight likely. Have a great week!

I usually love me some summer, but let's face it: this summer sucked hairy donkey balls for our family. Ready to try to end this year on some positive notes.
Still white wine weather here and I am indulging, as usual. Lots of loose ends to tie up, errands to run and my MIL's apartment to sort through.
Hope everyone is doing well! :drinker:

Had a zero for the first day of October. That should satisfy my goal for moderation for the rest of the year! :drinker:

Wonderful crisp fall day. Temps in the low 50s, partly sunny and very refreshing outside. I am going to prepare a large pot of vegetable beef barley soup and leave it simmer on the stove all day so I can enjoy the smell! Oh, and maybe a cocktail or two to end out the day!

Sounds amazing Gary. We're trying to get to fall in KY. It was chilly a few weeks back, got hot, and now we're in the cool morning/hot afternoon phase.

I had 2 drinks last night. There was open red and I just wanted a cider too.

I love cooking stews and soups all day. I don't end up eating any because I get full tasting it all day long. Beautiful weather here for now. The rains come back Friday. I just have to say the moon was absolutely glorious this morning. I had vodka cran last night. no zeros for me.

Meetings with attorney, CPA, and financial planner today translates to drinks tonight. Actually, I'll probably have some wine right after my meeting at the bank at 2, so I won't even wait until tonight. :p:drinker:

I don't envy you Syd. All that stuff is adult and I don't really want to be adult anymore. no zero for me last night.

I've been having a couple drinks a night. Which has actually been nice since it has not disrupted my sleep at all. 2 seems to be the magic number.

Parents get in at 4 and I have a big Planning Commission hearing to present at 1:00. I'm hoping to not come back after my hearing and head straight to the store for wine. Have a great weekend!

This week was not so bad - two zeros and a one last night. Going for a couple light beers tonight. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Thursday we went to the home opener at the brand new arena for the Detroit Red Wings, multiple beers were consumed.
Friday we headed up north for hunting, beers again.
Saturday, I shot my first deer with the crossbow, more beers...very pushy couple of days! But hunting in the morning sure is beautiful....

Congratulations on your first crossbow kill Ann! It sounds like all of the hunting is canceling out the beers.

I successfully moderated this weekend but the scale says otherwise. The scale seems to take a bit longer to get on board with the program.

Swallowed my implant crown on Saturday. I am so pissed. I moderated very well this weekend. Hope you all have a great week.

Ann- Congrats on the crossbow success.
    Good job Gary.

Ummm....Robin, is that something you can retrieve?!
Made a lot of progress clearing out MIL's apartment. The amount if crap a 90+yo hoards is just insane.
No 0's in sight for me

Syd, yes and I did. :embarassed: a $1000 crown is worth the gross factor. The dentist will sterilize it and I am having it re-cemented today. I have been thru my 98 year old Aunt's hoard and my 105 year old grandmothers hoard. My mom was very conscious of the process and had purged so much stuff by the time she passed that it wasn't too bad. By the time my dad passed he basically had nothing left but a few pictures and a grandfather clock. Han in there.

I had two last night. Tonight I try for only one.

haha Robin, I figured it might be worth it to you to try to find it :D

MIL was very neat and clean but had lots of storage and once we opened cabinets, closets, filing cabinets it was a whole different story. She had check registers from 1995 :o We finished up yesterday. Neither of us had the energy to be sad about it. Just relieved it was over. We donated 90% of her stuff. Someone is going to get some good use out of her really nice furniture and clothes.

Heading to the beach this weekend. I'm hoping to be able to really relax there and find some peace. The pacific ocean usually does it for me. It's my happy place.
And of course, there will be wine. :drinker:

Robin- I'm glad you successfully "located" your crown! :#:p
Syd- enjoy the relaxation, you deserve it!

I've had a pretty good week, food and drink-wise:
    Monday-0
    Tuesday-0
    Wednesday-0
    Thursday- 1 beer
Tonight, my brother is getting married. This means lots of family which means alcohol!!!

Enjoy the wedding and family time, Ann!

I actually feel a little off...nothing urgent on my to-do list, for the first time in what seems like forever. I still have that nagging feeling that lurks, telling me I've got a crisis that I need to deal with. Ok universe, that doesn't mean you need to provide me with one, just saying! :D
Off to the beach. Enjoy your weekend, lushes! :drinker:

    Enjoy the beach Syd!

I have been drinking a decent amount this week. I had every intention of not drinking last night and then work happy hour happened. Then Eric was gone till 10, so I typically like to drink when I'm along watching my shows. So I did. Oh well. Anniversary dinner and ballet tonight and a wedding tomorrow. Plus 2 birthday parties..... Myabe next week.....

I have had a nasty cold since last Wednesday. it hit me hard on Wednesday out of nowhere. I have lost 6 pounds because of it so that is good. I haven't been lushy much.

    The lushes are quiet!

I'm determined to start a somewhat normal routine. I'm sleeping like crap, and I know exercising more would help. So despite the 90+degree temps here, I will be working out.
    Still having my wine.
Hope everyone else is doing well :drinker:

I've been lushing along. Really earned it Friday. My sister and I stayed up till 4am. 4am!! We had to have mimosas on the way to the pumpkin patch to get right Saturday. And then I basically had a delayed hangover and felt like crap from about 7pm till I went to bed.

We're headed to Cincinnati for a concert tonight and staying overnight without kids. Should be good times!

I'm with you Syd. I need to get my act together. I may take a little mini break from booze before Thanksgiving. I'm really considering doing 30 days in January too. Just feel like I need a reset.
