Recalculating TDEE

Options
So, I'm wondering.

I didnt buy the starter kit, and the quick start guide is sorta vague. After a cut cycle, do you recalculate your TDEE for your current weight or go back to the original TDEE?

Think about what TDEE means - energy spent for day's activity.

If you weigh less and did exactly the same movements - you burn less.

The idea of eating at level you used to is exactly why so many fail diets and gain the weight back - they eat like they used to at those old levels. When they weighed more.

Thanks Heybales. That makes sense. I had a feeling that's what was intended, but since this whole idea is so counter intuitive to me I thought I'd make sure.

Generally you should recalculate TDEE after about 5 pounds on either end.. so if you gain by 5+ then tdee goes up.. if you lose, same thing..

My PT did mine a while ago and it came out around 2540 calories but no less than 2040. Starting to feel hungry now a lot so upping calories. We’re see where aiming for 2000 gets me
