Low carb/ IF - experimenting here. All input welcome!

My first ever post.
A bit about me: I'm 51 YO woman, 5'2", and I never really tried to lose weight until about 6 years ago. We were expats living in London 10 years ago and I got into cooking. Which led to my weight going up to 153 lbs.
Fast forward to 2011. I started counting calories, got down to about 146 in 6 months. And then my mother passed away unexpectedly and rather horribly. Super fast spreading cancer, 2 weeks between diagnosis and end. I guess something weird happened to my brain, but I lost over 20 lbs in the following 3 months by going super low carb and just not eating much.
Another fast forward. I kept the weight off for 4 years, and then started gaining back. Slowly, but a pound a month is 12 pounds a year.
I do Pilates 2x per week, and I usually get 10k to 12k steps a day (dog walking).
Anyway, I'm back on the wagon. Except my hormones are resisting every inch of the way. I'm at about 139 now, btw.
Here's where I want input, listing my game plan:
Overall, low carb, medium protein. I can't do high fat, it makes me sick to the point of wanting to throw up. I bought bacon, tried it once, and couldn't. So hi fat is not going to work.
I'm also trying IF. I was never a breakfast eater, so it's super easy for me to do 16/8 fasting/eating thing. Also tried the full 24 hour fast today, no biggie. We'll see how the scale likes it.
Anyway, any input/ advice/ criticism?

Welcome!
While you should definitely stay here and post here, consider also joining the low carber daily-ladies over 50 group. There are several seasoned low carb/IF posters there. You may find some extra support there.

Welcome to the board.
I think you are doing the right things for a LCHF diet: keep carbs on the low end, keep protein moderate (or even go a bit high) and don't force the fat. Excessive fat is not needed to eat low carb, but many find it satiating and tasty. If you don't do not force it.
If you want a bit of extra fat because of hunger, try lean or regular beef instead of extra lean. Have an extra slice of cheese at a meal, add a bit of butter to cooked veggies, or use a bit more full fat salad dressing than you might have in the past. But, if you are not hungry, and your calories are not excessively low, don't worry about it.
Bacon is not mandatory on a LCHF diet - just a nice perk for some of us.1 -
I do intermittent fasting. I do 16:8 minimum (sometimes turns out to be 18:6, 20:4, depending on the day)
I just started experimenting with extended fasting. I did a 64 hour fast this week. I loved it and can see myself adding 24-48 hr fasts into my routine. Maybe not weekly, but perhaps monthly or regularly.2
