Lack of meal plan support from myfitnesspal

Just started with the free account and found I can't easily enter my favorite foods so I can create my own meal plan based on calories and nutrition. So I looked at premium and don't see the ability there either and I don't see a trial for premium. I was hoping to create a food/meal inventory and pick and choose what I wanted for my food diary as a plan for the day. Can anyone tell me if I can achieve this with myfitnesspal?
