I read your post the other day, and I've been puzzling over what my goals are. I've been pretty consistent with my logging, but not always staying within calories. I've been maintaining withing the same 2-3# range. Going forward, that's what it will be all about. Maintaining. Staying steady and keeping healthy.
I think I need to find new motivation! Set a new goal. It's been very easy to just eat an extra slice of pizza. One small piece of Halloween candy. I'm the smallest size I've been in almost 20 years, so what else am I working for? I think I need to set a fitness goal. Walk X number of miles each week/month. Use my P90 DVDs again. Actually, that would be good, cause I can do my DVDs in my pajamas, in the warmth of my living room. As long as I put on a bra!
What are some of the tricks you use to motivate yourself?
Ok, goals:
Get back to drinking 8 glasses of water every day.
Try harder to stay within my calories.
Eat fewer starchy carbs. Since I'm a diabetic, this is important.
Move more! I've not been hitting my meager 6500 steps a day goal.
Add the P90 DVD 4 days a week. That'll give me two cardio and two with hand weights and squats/lunges.
Not even gonna think about Thanksgiving yet! I could care less for mashed potatoes, but find myself looking forward to some stuffing and a slice of pie!

Work is a a place for foodies and its lurking everywhere. I am cutting back on my food consumption at work. There truly is no need for a snack at break when I have lunch in an hour. This is very hard as I am one of the smaller people at work its easy to think hmmm why not. I am also getting up and exercising before work every day.
Thanksgiving is going to be emotional as its the first one without grandma and my daughter is going to be going out of town to see her future in-laws New home. It will just be my folks and I. Mom is not taking it well. Oh well life goes on.1 -
I have to work Thanksgiving 12 hours! But i do get Christmas off...
So tress29...how about a race as a goal?0 -
I like doing walks/ runs for causes but I like to have a partner. So many people are not interested in going with or afterwards they want to eat defeats everything. Spring I am hoping to get back outside and back walking heavy duty. I am hoping to find a few walking partners if not I am going to attempt going alone and hoping to find someone.0

Made it thru vacation with friends where i usually gain weight.... and working on three areas this week....three S's.....no Sugar..no Snacking and Sleep. I tend to snack on high fat high salt when no sugar so going to work on that...trying to adjust schedule to lack of daylight....totally not a morning athelete0

Thanksgiving was fine, pretty mellow. The stuffing never got dry enough to eat and we left before they cut the pies! Now if I'd have been able to resist a salty bacon sandwich for dinner... Weight was up for the week, but not just one area to place blame. I'm gonna vote for inactivity. I LOVE my pajama days, but glad they only happen once a month or so. Hey! They are my "cheat" days! I try to stay in calories but I'm so inactive I'm still eating over my activity level...

My Thanksgiving dinner was at work and i ate moderately ( took my famous asian sesame black bean trout)... had little trouble after eating some donuts ( kicks in my sweet tooth addiction) but overall did ok....have lost 3 more pounds but currently home sick with the flu....100% couch potato....ran an ok race thanksgiving morning....it was raining and made the drawbridges slick so times were slow but ok. ( race was downtown which has several bridges over the river)0
