Chinese Food

I'm going for lunch today with my co-workers and they've picked a Chinese restaurant. Does anyone know what I can eat? I'm worried about MSG - does anyone know anything about MSG on a Keto diet?

in general Chinese food (American Chinese restaurant food) is high fat and high carb, but relatively LCHF can be achieved by not eating the rice (or pancakes and hoisin sauce of moo-shu-pork, for example).

Some added sugar and MSG will practically unavoidable without a special request and delay. Even when you make a special preparation request, it may be ignored or lost. MSG is not supposed to have calories but it will make you retain extra water for a day, like salt. So MSG should be irrelevant to Keto diet. Tho it may stimulate appetite.

What I usually do is boneless spare ribs. I know there is probably some sugar hidden in there, but that seems to be the best high fat low carb option out there. Plus, they are absolutely delicious.

steamed chicken or shrimp with broccoli (no sauce)
