Early morning workouts

Hi,
It's just week 2 of intermittent fasting for me and it's generally working out really well as a lifestyle and I have adjusted to not feeling hungry during the fasting period (I eat from 11am - 7pm). My one issue is that I don't have the luxury of working out right before a meal. Most of my workouts are at 6am in the morning as I have small kids and work full time. I do Orange Theory Fitness and burn ~450 calories and as a result am ravenous/lightheaded by 9am. Just wondering how to manage this. I've been having half an avacado and a few almonds to get by but not sure that negates the benefits of fasting. Any advice?

I struggle with the same thing. There are days when I have to workout in the morning and I just don't fast that day. Or eat something really light like maybe just a protein shake or a small amount of oats. IF I don't I'll feel crappy all day.0

Everyone is different so you may have to take in some calories even if this breaks your fast, but perhaps this is a sodium issue. Perhaps you can try taking in some sodium in water 45-30 or so minutes before your workout I do this, it's not as bad as it sounds. I use Himalayan salt about 1 tspn, depending on how much sodium you take in during the day perhaps you go more or less. Then make sure you drink enough water.
