Everyone says it, but just how do you do it? How do you take the guidelines of the WW program and turn them into a lifestyle you can live every day...from now on? That is what we are here to explore. Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion. Newbie? Join in! Veteran? Join in! Your thoughts may be just what someone else needs to hear.

? I know most everyone restricted their sweet/sugar intake on their journey while losing but how do you handle it all year round or if your on maintenance.
? Do you budget your points/calories which may not be so restricted during the Holiday Season or do you budget all year long.
? Do Sweets, Treats, Cakes and Pies get your mood in a happy , wish I hadn't eaten it or no difference

Ice cream. I researched treats when I started and found frozen treats got me more treat satisfaction for the points.

When counting, I didn't do anything different for the holidays. Cookie exchange day was a tough day, but it was just one day.

When I started WW licensed something called The Giant Fudge Cup. It was 2 pts. I budgeted 1 every evening. But give into the office donuts, cookies, candy, or hit the junk food at home- no Giant Fudge Cup. I recall getting a lot of satisfaction finishing off my point counting day on plan and with my ice cream treat. Yeah, I was happy.0 -
Sweets are everywhere all the time year round. I do portion control . Similar views and budget year round.1

Fortunately I don't have a strong sweet tooth. But when I indulge it is about portion control and often I just say no. On Thanksgiving we will have 2 pies. I will try a half piece of each. The holidays is always about foreseeing, planning and portion control and remembering no is always an option.1

When I was on Maintenance, I am not now, back in the losing stage again. I was very restricted on eating any kind of desert. Slowly getting better with that again.0

Fortunately, I'm not a bigs sweets-eater (other than GOOD chocolate) so sweets aren't a temptation for me.0

We go to our oldest son’s house for Thanksgiving, his wife makes several FABULOUS desserts.
That is the one time I will indulge in desserts! It’s way beyond pumpkin pie, always something new and delicious!
My sweet treat at home is SF Jello pudding...#Sad :-(0 -
I pretty much restricted sweets when I first started WW years ago then monitered them along the way. They WW have never been too sugar friendly.
Then through the years I'm been just busting out on special holidays and maybe a few other times. All in moderation.
Them last year when WW changed their plan they really took the oxygen out of the room with Sugars. I still struggle with this one so we shall see.0 -

I follow CICO - no sweets are off the table any time of year, as long as I stay on budget.

I generally don't track on the actual holiday (Thanksgiving, Birthday, Christmas) - but I do track on other days in the season.. normal rules apply. Budget, allow all types of food, restrict portions.

Most of the time happy... I enjoy food - just not as much as I used to.
