About to make 100 cookies and 60 deviled eggs for a church thing one of my teens volunteered us for. After this weekend I should be able to spend half a second in here and post. Ugh!

I kind of love that you are making deviled eggs for a church function.

    :lol::wink:
There was one egg left after their first pass. Someone got it though.
It's not that big a church. I'm guessing the devil got to them and they couldn't resist.

    Also, Thanks Baconslave!
For always coming through with these great challenges, for making it easy to find in the top section - week by week, for having the challenges designed so that everyone can find a way to participate however they can, for allowing a space for support, honesty, respectful communication about successes and setbacks to flourish, and for all the friendships that have begun here.

    The plague will never leave!
Pretty sure DH either has bronchitis or pneumonia... The kids still have nasty coughs. Bah. I'm not on deaths door but I do feel a little crappy still.
I'm hoping they'll improve in the next couple days, or we'll be dipping into savings for Christmas. They last time we had to take all 4 kids in for the same thing it was over $500, prescrips not included. :rage:

    My plan for December

I was out of town and did not have internet for the weekend:
Stay under carbs - pretty sure I managed this
Stay under calories - pretty sure I managed this
LOG - the app was sketchy so this didn't happen
exercise - this didn't happen much, but I was doing house demolition, so there was a lot of activity going on

Oh no! You’d think they’d give you a group discount or something ;).

Hope you feel better. I’m starting to come down with something myself. Pushing the fluids and popping the vitamins in an attempt to nip it in the bud.

I am mostly managing to get back to carnivore, I didn’t manage yesterday but it was a crazy day and I didn’t plan well at all so failed and I am struggling to get in the full 2l of water a day but will build this up over the next few days and weeks, have pretty much managed to get it to 1l per day plus coffee, my walking is going well so far but aiming to get this built up more too.

Have never done a challenge before but this one hits close to home. The two friends I was doing this woe with who have really helped keep me on track crashed and burned last week. They are both on a sugar high saying they will get back at it in the new year. I am terrified that if I fall I won’t get back up again and least not when I want to. So am really counting on this challenge and everyone’s support to help me thru this challenging, fun, festivity filled month.

Starting weight: 220 (30 lbs lost to date)

    GOALS
    No weight gain!!!!!!!
    Planning ahead:
Dec 9th Dinner - I am preparing a low carb meal for guests, dessert for them 1 glass red for me
Dec 10th Dinner - friend preparing a meal I can also enjoy - no dessert, no wine
Dec 14, 17 & 22 parties - will eat before so no food off program BUT will allow myself 2 glasses of wine and if needs must a vodka (or 2

    Quick update...
<20g net carbs daily - close, I've been hovering around 23ish, but lots of greens and some yogurt, so not worrying about it
Reigning in the calories - this has been fine, although the trainer said I should be eating a minimum of 200kcals more daily (when I did that I maintained, so not jumping on that bandwagon just yet)
Exercise - no plan yet, so planning on doing nothing until I get a plan (epic failure)
100oz water/daily - hanging my head in shame... lol!

That all aside, my Thanksgiving weight is finally gone and I've been hovering at a lower weight than I've been in months! Imagine if I drank my water and moved my mass...

    12/1-12/5
    80 oz water - Nope
    Daily vitamins - Nope
    50-60 carbs/day - Yes
    1400 cal or less/day - Yes
Be more active, make gym plans with others! - Yes and no

I was on vacation from work so out of my routine. As a result water and vitamins effort bit the dust. The upside was I was active and very busy so I barely ate. Most days were coffee, a handful of nuts and dinner. I did not however, get to the gym with or without a friend. I'm back to work today.

I discovered something weird for me. With a lack of meal planning and pre-logging my food this week, I found myself not thinking about food and actually forgetting to eat breakfast and lunch. Wondering if I should continue to plan but log at the end of the day instead.

Good on all fronts except water intake and controlling nut binging. Feeling positive about the marathon this weekend!

I'm not able to control nut binges. They always get me triggered.

Well the first week is over and I'm still wishy washy on what goals I'm going to set. lol. I've been having a stressful time lately and this time of year keeps me down so I'll keep it simple.

*make an effort to exercise in some way a 2-3 days a week
*mainly keep under 50 carbs...holiday treats here and there but NOT nightly
*try to get outside a bit most days
*make an effort to communicate with friends to improve mood

So far this week not too bad though my husband surprised me with the world's best eggnog last night. I tried to keep the serving crazy small though and the rest of the day was nearly carbless so it was ok! LOL

Small blip in carbs today. Not too bad, but I have to remember to be strong when the numbers on the scale don't do what I think they should.
Sometimes I let frustration cloud my long term judgment.
    I'll do better tomorrow.

I could have worked out, but got a bit lazy. Now that its cold and icy I need to go to the gym instead of just going outside.

1400 cal or less/day - Yes, surprised at that one

    Plan for December:

Maintain 20g or less of carbs through Dec. 10th. check check... net carbs at least.
Stay within calorie goal - 1385 Nope
Meet sodium and magnesium goals check
Drink more water - 2 liters minimum I have tried so hard to do this but am struggling with water intake
Add 20 new low-carb/keto recipes to my personal keto recipe bookfound a couple good recipes haven't tried them yet
Maintain weight. Loss is always nice but I'll settle for maintenance this year check
11,000 steps daily nope, but I'll make up for it tomorrow. EEK! TOMORROW!
stretch two times daily half-way there.... failure on remembering to stretch and it's going to bite me in the race because of it
PT exercises DAILY (no pain anymore but no strength due to shoulder surgery) decided to postpone this until after the race, why cause me more pain

So my successful December is half-way successful so far but I'm good with it. When I finish the race tomorrow I'll be flying high and not care.... and probably eat a piece of cake as a reward (my daughter's birthday).
