I really like December, I don't love Christmas but I like December! My birthday is in a few (3) weeks, I get to spend lots of time with my family! I only work one full out of the next 5.

During December I will cut myself off carbonated beverages all together... i need to get to exercising some more again, my dog needs hip surgery so he can't go for walks as much and I don't go without him so I am hardly walking either

Hope everyone is enjoying their first day of December

Almost a week into December already, I am so excited for my short work weeks coming up!!!

It's been really cold here last night and today and for the next few days!!! I love winter and don't mind the cold weather but I hate when it's really windy!!

Going to walk around Walmart tonight because this weather is too cold for my dog to walk in, he needs hip surgery and the cold weather hurts his hip!!

So I did my orientation session for bariatric surgery, I am still going to go forward with the process, in the interim they will help me work on diet and exercise and emotional problems, and I can move through the whole program and still not be eligible for surgery at the end, but I need to try and do this, I want so much more for my life.

Half way through December, things are getting quiet here.... everyone i hope is getting. Ready for a joyful holiday!!

I have no Christmas presents wrapped, I have only a few purchased honestly, I will do the bulk of my shopping next weekend. I did get my son a beginner drone, I think he will be the happiest kid alive!! He never asks for much and I got a really good price.

I will also have a sad Christmas because I have had to cut off communication with my daughter due to her ongoing behaviour. I have never been without her on Christmas, but I think it's for the best.

Sorry about things with your daughter. I understand how hard that can be.
This year, my son and daughter are coming, as always, however, my daughter's sister we had to cut ties with a couple weeks ago because of her ongoing behavior.

There is so much pressure on families right before Christmas, if I didn't have kids at home I would take off for Christmas and pretend it didn't exists.

But here we are just days away, my son is negotiating how many presents he should get to open on Christmas Eve, so I am going to hide his drone until Christmas Day, he is so easy to please with gifts I know he will be happy with what he gets either way.

I'm one of those strange folks who still loves Christmas! I love the music and dig it out in August, and I look forward to the radio stations that go to a 24 hour Christmas music format for the season. I love snow and lights and the decorations, even if I don't put much up myself (I'm lazy and hate taking them down lol), and I even love some of the cheesy movies made for the season. I actually enjoy buying gifts, too! I love cooking special, once a year items, making cookies to give away, I love the traditions of the season - it's just my favorite holiday

The commercialism of the holiday doesn't bother me, though I do know several people who hate that part of it and for whom it has ruined the holiday. My best friend is not a fan of Christmas at all for that exact reason (well, mostly that reason). She's worked with the public and in the retail industry for years, and I definitely understand how that environment can sour one's taste for the season.

But I understand how the holiday can be very stressful for others. I'm single with a small family that doesn't demand much-my brother is the only one of us who is married, and he has no kids. We tend to have a nice, quiet holiday at home and only run to visit my grandparents for a little while before coming back home for the rest of the day.

My brother's in laws, on the other hand, are very demanding folks. In fact, my brother isn't going to get to come over until New Years to have Christmas with his family (us) because his in laws are insisting he and his wife be at their several parties they are having for the season - his mother in law flat out refuses to compromise when it comes to the holidays, and my sister in law will not stand up to her mother. As far as they are concerned, my brother married into their family, and if we want to spend time with my brother and his wife, well we ought to just come to their house to do it.

So if i were in my brother's shoes, I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy Christmas so much, either!

Merry Christmas everyone! I know I am a couple days early but I won't get on here for a week or so after today. I hope everyone has a safe, fun holiday full of love. I will be back a couple days before the New Year to start a points challenge for January, so I hope to see a few people take part in that.

I will leave you with my favorite Christmas song:
