Rant/Venting against the Nay Sayers (Freestyle)

I know GoaDies generally don’t participate on WW Connect for various reasons. I do for my own reasons.

Today I noticed a lot of complaints about Freestyle. Basically blaming the program for weight gains. Blaming eating too much Zero Points foods, no longer having portions controlled, and other reasons why they gained weight over holidays.

Makes me want to stay away from the negativity.

How many GoaDs are having difficulties with the new Freestyle program?

I have lost on my first two WIs on Freestyle. Small losses (.6 .4) so I will continue to try to follow the Plan.

Just curious how other GoaDs are doing with Freestyle?

    I haven't switched back to it yet after leaving after Smart Points was introduced. It looked pretty good to me. If people are overeating zero point foods then they are focusing on the food and not the behavior.

    I lost the first week. My gain after that was because I chose to eat poorly for the holidays. Yay self-control!

    I have bede tracking on the new plan and was losing weight. The reason I'm up right now is just are too much of the wrong things yesterday and waaaay toooo much. Ima going to go back and track it but it won't be pretty. Cookies and sweets are the main culprits.

    I fail to see how anyone can gain weight on freestyle if their paying any attention at all. If your sensible about the fruits and the chicken and eggs it's hard to imagine gaining a ton of weight on vegetables and most of the zero foods.

    I don't go to connect because I just don't care to spend my time scrolling and scrolling. That's just me.

    SW 400.8
    CW 324.0
    Next GW 300.0
    Final GW 185.0

    76.8 lbs Total lost

    Yup! Was working, until I chose NOT to be on plan.

    I still haven't formally seen the new program; but from what I've seen others post (here and on FB) about the changes, I think it will work well for me. There seem to be lots of things that are very similar to the "old" Core plan. And that plan worked great for me. I'm hoping to be able to attend a meeting (for the first time in 2 years!) this coming Tuesday.

    I say "hoping" because the weather forecast for here on Monday and Tuesday isn't looking good for being on the roads around here. I didn't move to the beach to have snow! I think we have one piece of "snow removal equipment" on the island. And THAT'S a tractor with a scraper on the front which only does the main road on the island -- none of the side streets.

    <begin rant>
    But can WW PLEASE get rid of Oprah?!! First, it was "I love BREAD!" Now it's "FREEEEE!" (in her annoying voice).
    <end rant>

    BTW...I should obviously spend more time at my son's house. I managed to lose 1.5 pounds between last Friday and this morning.

    All the folks I know like it and are losing while following it. No naysayers at the meetings so far.

    Still a little soon for me to 'weigh in' but so far, I'm likin' FS. I just boost my intake a little with the zero-point foods and that has helped keep me satisfied throughout the day. Which isn't to say I don't still get the urge to eat when stressed or anxious but it's easier not to act on it if I can correctly gauge that there's really nothing hunger-related driving it.

    I missed last week's meeting due to snow and cold. The week before there were several complainers about FS but a few advocates as well. For those for whom the 0-point foods are no incentive, I feel for 'em. For those who just whine because they don't like change, I got nothing (I used to be one of those people)!

    Im liking it. I've worked it sporadically and eaten holiday treats while not tracking some days, but i still came out even over the last 2 weeks! If i can overindulge while eating OP some days and be even, just think what actually working the program all the time can do. I'm on day 3 and optimistic!

    As for my meeting, only one woman is struggling. She's a vegetarian (I think) and her main source of protien was cheese. She's missing her points. Im perplexed that she wouldn't eat at least 7 points a day in beans, eggs, or tofu, but she says she's starving
