Festival of Sleep Day
If you celebrate this day, you will miss it.

National Fruitcake Toss Day
I have a theory. There have only been about a thousand ever baked and they are re-gifted every Christmas making it seem as if there are millions out there.

National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day
Beachwoman!
Why does it seem they are never just cherry and chocolate? Why do confectioners feel a need to add sugary slime?

National Drinking Straw Day
Even John Wayne, Schwarzenegger and The Rock can't look macho while sucking on a straw.

Remember You Die Day.
If that doesn't cheer you up, try thinking about how much it will cost for your funeral or how your corpse will look and smell about a month later. You're welcome.

Humiliation Day
Remember that time your mother walked in on you?

National Write to Congress Day
They care about what we want or need. Really, they care about us. Write a letter in gibberish and you will get an intelligent, thoughtful, diplomatic, indulgent, solicitous and generic response.

Birthdays:
Winnie Cooper, 43
Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson, 61
John Paul Jones, 72
Stephen Arthur Stills, 73

I buy chocolate-covered cherries once a year -- during the Christmas season. That's the only time I'm able to find DARK chocolate-covered cherries. Bought two boxes this year sometime right after Thanksgiving. One box is gone and the other one is in the freezer.
