How To Find Raw Milk

This is a good start for finding a raw dairy source:

My Co-op was NOT listed, still isn't. I googled "Raw Milk in Michigan" to find out who was listed where. I found several resources not listed on the above link. There were no drops in my town, so I spoke with several co-ops with herd shares ( direct sales are illegal) and found one that was willing to work with me in establishing a new drop site.

Many Co-ops carry other products in addition to dairy. Ours has meats ( grass fed, organic, etc.) raw honey, body products--and the list grows as vendors find that the niche market of organic products is viable!

If you live in West Michigan, Grassfield's farm does 'cow' shares, for raw milk, They also sell different cheeses that they make, right at their farm :) The bulk of their milk goes to Horizon Organics, so they're a very legit/up to code farm.

They don't really advertise the raw milk, because it's illegal to buy in our state, so you need to go into their farm store and ask about it. I don't buy it because raw milk (or any milk really) doesn't appeal to me, but I've been in their store when they've been talking to other people about it (yes, I'm nosey lol)

Haha! I wish I could hide one cow for making butter and cheese, and one cow to eat later! That link helped me find a really great micro-creamery farm!

    Another site officially bookmarked.

I also like happycow.net. Technically it's a resource to find vegan and vegetarian friendly places, but the listings for stores are usually health food stores...a lot of which carry raw milk. I live in a city where it's not hard to find, just need to go to the smaller health food stores to get it.

Edit: it's akso a great resource for organic restaurants.
