Turned up this article when surfing the web a few days ago. I have a few cans left in the pantry, but other than that, it looks like there will be no more sardines for me until these little fish return to "normal" supplies in the Pacific... I love fish, but it's always decision where I consider not only price, but sustainability. More often than not, I choose fish that are marketed as "responsibly farmed" - and trust the certification process which labels them as such.
