I had an A1c check-up today. They can now do it in the office without a blood draw. Just a finger poke and 5 minutes and I had 7.5 today (down from 10.0 last check). No waiting 3 days for your numbers this way. The nice part was that I was able to discuss my progress with my Dr. right away instead of checking in later. I'm working towards 6ish by the end of the year.

According to my doctor, the quick test is less accurate than a lab test, as much as one full point.
