What are your beliefs about self image and motivation?

Here are some of mine...
Believer in loving yourself as you are and where you are...no matter the amount of weight yet to go!
Believer in doing something to better yourself from the inside-out every single day.
Believer in positive self-talk out-loud (“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” “I am beautiful.”)
Believer in what we say out loud negative about ourselves (“I am so fat”, “my thighs are huge”, etc..), our mind then hears and our hearts start to believe.
Believer in NO negative self-talk.
Believer in what is in our mind has an impact on our words and our actions—-so we have to transform how we think about ourselves.
I have more—but would love to hear yours...

In a nutshell, nobody else's opinion matters but mine.
I am very fortunate, @shellybratcher , I have reached a stage in my life where I am totally, utterly and completely Contented with who I am, and what I stand for and believe in.
Truly, on a general level, I really couldn't care one jot what people think of me, and I truly don't have time for negative thoughts, because they have absolutely no room, even standing.
Occasionally, I put my big foot in my mouth, I am too blunt and forthright for a lot of purposes and for that, I am truly sorry, because just as nobody can hurt me, so I should remember I am still unwittingly able to hurt others, and I honestly don't ever deliberately want to do that.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent".
That applies to all and every aspect of one's personal life.
I believe everyone can do it, and what's more, that is their right, and nobody else should ever have the power to stop them.5 -

I agree that self talk is a huge one. We believe what we tell ourselves. I concur with your second point also though... it's not enough just to tell ourselves how 'great' we are, we should always aim to better ourselves as compassionate and caring human beings treating others the way we want to be treated (even before finding out how they'd treat us back).0
