Not nearly enough info to give an intelligent answer.
Was last year 32 lb loss smart, in order to compare to it?
Totally unknown.
Try this to see how it works, so you'll have the knowledge and ability to always figure this out going forward.

Because guess what - it's going to be life long pretty much ability to obtain. Because life changes.
Or you'll yearly be revisiting the need to lose weight again.1 -
I know it's tempting as all hell to eat as little as possible to drop the weight, but's it's not the best way to do it in a 'normal' scenario. Read the above link and follow the advice. This is a life long journey and it doesn't end when you lose the weight so learn learn learn.
Focus more on 're-composing' your body. You want to at least retain muscle mass whilst losing fat thus dropping your body fat %. This means having an appropriate calorie deficit, keeping your protein high (1g/lb is a good guide for now) and hitting the weights. Failing to do this may lead to losing muscle as well which is not ideal. I'm a shift worker so keeping a routine is tough but I manage around a 25% average deficit over a 28 day period alternating 85% and 50% maintenance days - just as an example.
In addition to the above take a look at the following links:
http://physiqonomics.com/ - basic but no bullsh*t guide to follow that will get you results
https://www.bodyrecomposition.com/ - more advanced information, assumes you have a little education in the industry but the content is gold.
Good luck!
