Week in Review Thread January 8-14

Often times we rush around and maybe never think about what happened the week before where we might reflect upon and maybe just post your thoughts about your previous week as it relates to your weight journey. You can review what ever you would like to post that has to do with weight journey this past week. WW (Weight Watchers), MFP (MY Fitness Pal) WL ( Weight Loss) WG (Weight Gain) or Maintenance. It may be you want to share like an article or rant/vent about your weaknesses or successes during the week. It may or may not help you to review and give you pause to think but it's worth a shot.

Last week's positives:
+ Made my January LT WI
+ Got outside for a bike ride Wednesday afternoon in our balmy mid 40 degree temperatures. Trust me, after so many days below zero or just single digits it did feel balmy!
+ Stayed within my calorie budget except for 1 day
Last week's challenges:
- Got nailed with a head cold that started Thursday morning and left me with no energy especially on Friday and Saturday
- 2 days of meetings plus scrambling to pull the details together for a contest at the retirement community that started today left me feeling off balance
- Back issues that started on 1/1 still weren't resolved at the beginning of the week but finally resolved by the weekend. I was feeling old and cranky at the start of the week, old and sick at the end. Blech.2 -
Thought I'd share my week. I went back and checked knowing I had some holes in my tracking. I missed 4 meals and two whole days that I missed tracking. I did show a loss for the week on my Friday WI day but I could have done a lot better. I now have to go back and try to recreate the meals I didn't track. Quite frankly I don't think it's worth the effort. I did not get to the gym or work out. I did see my dietitian on Monday and I was down 4 lbs from the last time I had met with her and that included the holidays back to Thanksgiving almost. We discussed a plan and some goals for the upcoming month and she made a copy for me. I can't believe it's been a week and I haven't even opened the file and looked at the goals we made. We are still working on a goal of 1 lb a week at 1800 calories. She and I also discussed checking out the local Aquatics center and how she ran into a person that was teaching the class and thought I might benefit from it so I'm going to go check it out. I'm sure it could benefit me.
I've got to make time for tracking and exercising or I'll be back in the same old yo yo up and down cycle. It has to become a priority to make it work. There were also a couple of days that I ate sweets and too many of them but overall I made fairly good progress on that front but still want to have some sweets. DW is over her pneumonia and that is a real good thing. She is having some other challenges in her stomach and hopefully we'll get to the bottom of that.
Well on to another week. It is starting off good today staying in bounds pretty well and getting the tracking done. Just got to keep at it and do better there's always room to improve.

I have tracked EVERY day since the first of year and I have tracked EVERYTHING -- including snacks. For me, THIS is a major thing because I. HATE. TRACKING. LOL
This past week I also made sure to weigh/measure anything that I wasn't sure about re: serving size.2
