Ilove fridays. More now than ever because my husband and go to a dance party. Yes we ballroom dance for exercise. Cha-cha, tango and of course rumba really get the burn on. But it's also something we both like to do and has strenghtened our relationship. Dancing is ultimate partnership. Anyone else?

I haven't been dancing in a couple of years, but it was sooooo much fun and I'd love to start again. But it's so expensive, unfortunately. And I don't have a partner either. Ah well... Maybe some day.

Hi, I'm new to myfitnesspal and LOVE to dance. Once you dance for exercise you just can't get enough. Is anyone in the Tampa Bay, FL area? I'm looking for a dancing weight loss support group where we can share the cost of dance lessons and take advantage of group rates.

I am an avid square dancer and contra dancer. What a lot of fun it is. I could not ballroom dance for the life of me, and line dancing is just way too fussy. But a whooping good contra dance to the tune of an old time fiddle is WONDERFULL! So healthy in so many ways: physical, social, communitarian. And boy, does it burn calories! And I square dance at least twice a week. We have lots of singles in our group, and it is about the cheapest entertainment around. My New England-style contra group is intergenerational, but has lots of 20 and 30 year olds, while my square dance group has lots of seniors in it. If you want to dance, try square and contra.
