I was doing pretty good at keeping my weight between 135-140 for a couple years and then I moved to Texas. I have to blame something for my 10 lb weight gain so I blame foodieAusin with its breakfast tacos, BBQ and donut and kolache shops on just about every corner. For my health I want to get back to a better way of eating and for me that’s Dash. If I follow the Dash Diet Calorie adjustment at 1200 calories my goal would look like this
Fruits- 3-4 servings
Veg - 3-4
LF dairy - 2-3
Beans & nuts - 3-4 per week
Lean meats
Fish,poiltry - 5 oz
Whole grains - 3
Fats & sweets - 2
I have been meeting my goal in veggies, and going over ingrains, fats and sweets. There is a period of adjustment to get used to eating this way.

I’m going to try the same 1200 cal dash diet. I no longer live there, but I’m from Texas, so I understand the struggle is real1

...but it's a good thing that I'm not there b/c I just started the 1200 cal dash diet too.0
