So I'm going to try this. Last night I noticed that Im horribly sluggish at night and don't feel like making myself dinner. My nights are usually so busy cleaning and getting ready for the next day making dinner for myself just seems like one more chore. So I usually just end up eating a piece of cheese, a coup of olives and whatever else I can get my hands on.

I thought about this and thought "Man what if I front load my calories." I once heard a physcial trainer tell me "Eat like a king in the morning, a prince at lunch, and a pauper at dinner"

I can't help but wonder if this would help me feel more energized at night without having to make myself dinner. Then maybe I'll have the energy for all of my other tasks during the day

Try it and see how it works for you. Seems to me it would be fine so long as you don't go oops and "back load" in the evening (for whatever reason) after front loading.

My eating schedule varies. Sometimes I eat breakfast, sometimes I don't. My husband works very late hours 2 evenings a week and on those days I generally don't eat supper. I'll often throw a roast (or something) in the oven at 10 or 11 so it will be done when he gets home and I'll have it the next day for lunch (or whenever).

I'm convinced what has really been the best approach for me is to just always have something on hand that is friendly to my way of eating (as you are doing with the cheese and olives) so when I get hungry, the "right for me" food is available.

Our only "scheduled meal" is supper, 5 days a week. Otherwise, I flex my eating. Some days, I may have planned to make a "heavier" supper then change it simply because I have already eaten too many calories already but like to enjoy supper with my husband...as we sit in front of the TV watching a favorite show. LOL.

Keep trying different things. There is not one true way, only the way that works for you.

While I do not count calories normal yet if I am going out on the tractor like to bush hog I may eat an extra can of tuna and or a few boiled eggs and perhaps an apple on the way there if I know I may be out for several hours. Like at 10 pm last night I ate a lot of protein and fats because I wanted them but it did not impact my scales this morning in either direction and I am stepping high so far today.
