Hello!
I have been mostly plant based for a few months now after finding that a Keto diet has all but ruined my health. My cholesterol is through the roof, I have markers for heart disease, I gained weight, chronic pain... the list goes on.
The only time I feel good is when I’m strictly eating plant based so this change seems like the perfect fit!
I’m also working with an ED. I binge after restricting calories for a few days so I’m hoping this will help me with this too.
I’d love any tips, success stories and friends to keep me motivated and accountable!!
I’m super excited and hope everyone is feeling wonderful!

Hi Shrink! Welcome to ETL group. Good luck with your first day following ETL. Please feel free to jump into the monthly threads. It's an easy way for all of us to keep up with each other since we're a pretty small group of regulars.
Best advice I can give you is don't take an all or nothing attitude (something I"m guilty of myself). Be sure to eat all the recommended veggies and fruits, and don't skimp on the essential fats from nuts and seeds. And if you slip up don't give up. I probably eat 60 to 70% ETL these days, but I'd like to get back closer to 80%.
Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you!0 -
Hi! Welcome to the group. I'm excited that you discovered the plant based way of eating and that you feel good on it! I feel best eating plant based, too.
I am guilty of overeating and the occasional binge myself. What helps me is prepping meals on the weekend and always having food ready to go in the fridge. I overeat if I get too hungry or am stressed. I also try not to keep trigger foods in the house, even if they are whole food plant based.
Like Mihani mentioned, check out the monthly thread for daily posts. I love your enthusiasm and it would be great to see you in there!0
