    February 28
Exercised?: Yes. Walk 6km in 60 mins (various walks in Adelaide throughout the day).
    Calories?: Yes
    Tracked?: Yes

Interstate so doing best I can.

Distressed call from home. Our 13yo bengal cat (named "Mouse") had the equivalent of a stroke and needed to be taken to the vet. Sudden blindness, high blood pressure, inability to sdand or balance, suspected bleeding on the brain. Had to make the heart-wrenching decision to have him put to sleep. No guarantees that intensive medical intervention would restore his eyesight, or even get him back to health.

Because I was interstate, did not have a chance to say goodbye, or be there to comfort my wife and daughter.

I'm sure our other cat (3yo female), will also miss him.

Home will not be the same when I get there tomorrow evening.

    I miss him already.

@craigo3154 I am so sorry for your devastating loss. I have an 11 year old boy and life would NOT be the same if I had to let him go.

Weigh in week: February week 4
    Weigh in day: Wednesday
    Last week's weight: 221.2
    Today's weight: 221.4

Up a tiny bit but was down 2.4 lbs the previous week, so I'm not surprised that I'm up a little.

Also 22 days and counting of being nicotine free!

I was out of town today so I will weigh in tomorrow.
Since I was on a get away for 8 days I know my weight will be up.
I did do tons of walking to counteract some of the eating but since the eating included bigger than usual breakfasts and many meals at restaurants I know I will not be happy when I see the number on the scale tomorrow.
I don't regret going away though as I planned a very last minute road for my dad and myself so we could be out of town for the 1 year anniversary of my mom's death.

@inshapeCK hope you and your dad enjoyed your quality time together! Life happens and sometimes short term self-care doesn’t mesh with our long term goals...one week of scale results do not determine the success of your journey.

Exercised?: Yes. Bodyweight strength work (20+ mins).

Back home now. Busy day. Little time to walk while interstate and returned after dark.

Long hugs with family. Will take a few days for things to start to feel normal again.

Thank you all for the messages of sympathy and well wishes. It was very much appreciated.

    Weigh in week: Week 4
Weigh in day: Wednesday (HAD TO WEIGH IN 1 DAY LATE AS WAS OUT OF TOWN)
Previous Week's Weight: 153.2 pounds: DOWN 0.6 POUNDS
    Todays Weight: 156.2 pounds :s : UP 3.0 POUNDS :#

I AM NOT SURPRISED THAT I AM UP SINCE I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR 8 DAYS BUT IT IS STILL UPSETTING :'( TO SEE A GAIN AFTER 8 DAYS OF BEING AWAY.
I KNOW PART OF THE GAIN WAS FROM EATING BIGGER BREAKFASTS THAN USUAL (EXCELLENT BREAKFAST "BUFFET" PROVIDED BY HOTEL) AND ITEMS THAT WERE MORE CALORIE LADEN OR LESS HEALTHY THAN MY USUAL FRUIT TO START OFF MY DAY (E.G., WAFFLE, CHEESE OMELETTE, BACON, TURKEY SAUSAGE, SAUSAGE PATTY) AND I KNOW WE ATE OUT AT RESTAURANTS FOR SOME MEALS, 2 OF WHICH WERE BUFFETS THEREFORE A LOT OF UNHEALTHY FOOD WAS EATEN
BUT I DID WALK A TON EACH DAY, SO MUCH SO THAT I HAVE A MASSIVE BLISTER THAT MADE IT UNBEARABLE TO STAND OR WALK ON THE LAST 2 DAYS DUE TO THE BLISTER BEING SO BIG ON THE BOTTOM OF MY FOOT BELOW MY BIG TOE AND NEXT TOE OVER AND I DID NOT GO BACK FOR SECONDS AT 1 OF THE BUFFETS EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS MORE THAT I WANTED AND I WENT TO A STORE AND BOUGHT GRAPES SO I WOULD MAKE SURE I ATE FRUIT WHILE AWAY AND I EVEN HAD VEGETABLES (SALAD, CARROT STICKS, GRAPE TOMATOES, COOKED CARROTS, MASHED POTATOES, BROCCOLI) AT SOME RESTAURANTS WHICH IS NOT THE NORM FOR ME WHEN I EAT OUT SO I AM BUMMED TO BE UP 3 POUNDS BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS SO HERE I GO AGAIN TO TRY TO RE-LOSE WEIGHT I RE-GAINED!!!!! :(

NEED TO LOSE 3.3 POUNDS TO GET BACK TO MY DECEMBER 27TH WEIGHT!

@inshapeCK I think you’ll find the excess weight will come off faster than you think a lot of times when we are eating out and traveling and gain “a lot” of extra some of it is attributable to the foods we were eating being higher in sodium than what we normally eat so we see that gain come off faster as that water weight works it’s way back out...don’t be discouraged I’m sure your week away didn’t cost you quite as much as it may currently appear! You’ll be back at it in no time!

Exercised?: Yes. Walk 6km in 46mins (hills)
    Calories?: Yes
    Tracked?: Yes

Nice to get back walking again after the last 2 days. Good pace too.

Unfortunately my daughter is ill at the moment. Stayed home from school, but is doing all the right things by resting, keeping warm and keeping fluids up.

Yay for the weekend. Looking forward to some nice weather.

Exercised?: Yes. FPV flying and tearing down a track (over 7000 steps today).
    Calories?: Yes
    Tracked?: Yes

    Nice weather and good flying.

Not much else to report today.

    Daily Strength challenge

Challenge for March 03 is sit-ups or crunches (abs day - be sure to use a mat or towel for cushioning - )

    2 sets
    • First set till the point where you can do no more, wait 2 mins
    • Second set of 50% of the number you did in the first set (half)

The reason for only 2 sets for this exercise is that it ideally should be balanced with back strengthening exercises (which plank variants provide).

    Weigh in week: 4
    Weigh in day: Saturday
    Previous Week's weight: 203
    Todays Weight: 204

Actually not worried about a 1lb gain - it's been a challenging week! Heavy snow has messed up everything here in the UK (our infrastructure is never prepared for much more than a light rain shower) so couldn't get into work and the gym and I don't have the gear to go for a run in -2C! Went to yoga on Friday but that was called off due to a fire alarm. Happy Saturday all!

Day 1- Weigh in day is Friday, so yesterday was 290.6
Just updated my Fitbit, and I'm wearing it starting this morning. Just read all the rules, so I'll begin that, today. I tracked good yesterday but forgot dinner, got busy. Looking forward to tomorrow's log in.
