Made it through the weekend without totally throwing the calorie counter out the window! Had a teenager home from college, so had to splurge on Chik-Fil-A after we picked up his car...1

work is offering wellness incentives ( money off insurance costs) if we sign up with a wellness coach for 4 sessions to discuss nutrition and lifestyles etc....its free so hoping to tweak my nutrition some....staying under calories a lot but not always good healthy choices. ...but have decreased my chik filet habit! ( cooking mini tator tots at home instead of waffle fries! but logged )0

yay! have lost 15 pounds finally...( part of the 30 i regained....was so sure i would never regain the weight) so wrong!0

Beginning of Lent....means improved nutrition and working on bad habits....unfortunately my Fat Tuesday was a planned trip to Chik Filet...a full blown trip! but over that now and Onward0

Didn't realize people were still using this group, cool. I'm going to try to stop using the forums as a time suck and spend more time on corners like this one, as my motivation has been terrible since my mother's illness last year (emotional eating) and then work insanity and weather that makes getting outside for workouts a challenge.
No excuses, just my stumbling blocks. Going to really focus on getting back on track, especially as I am supposed to do a marathon in early May that I am not trained for (and a half in about a month).1 -
I'm still enjoying your historical tidbits over on my news feed! I log pretty consistently, but only check the groups page at work. It's just easier to read in a full web browser and not on the tiny screen on my phone!
Barb, I'm not a Catholic (but one set of grandparents were) so I remember Lent. I used to give up ice cream or something silly, and then the opportunities to have it would seem to multiply! If I give up soda, do I also have to give up the occasional energy drink? The ones I like are carbonated...
Also, my A1C is at 5.4! I'm a LADA diabetic (Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults.) It's kind of a cross between Type 2, that is controlled with diet and exercise, and Type 1 which requires insulin. Getting your sugar under control and staying active will stave off all kinds of complications!1 -
