After going on a strict diet for far too long in 2013, I developed BED and struggled tremendously with it for 2 years. I gained 30lbs during that time. The binge urges were similar to that of drug or alcohol addiction.
After reading Brain Over Binge in May 2015, I overcame BED, lost all of the weight, and got back into shape.
However, I had surgery this past June 2017 and wasn’t able to go to the gym for 3 months. By September, due to stress, I started slipping into old binge habits again, although not nearly to the level of my past. I gained 10 pounds.
I’m back in the gym full force, getting on track, and building new habits again, but still struggling a little. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. I can’t wait to lose these 10 pounds and overcome this little slip up of a habit.
