i can't stop thinking about unhealthy foods

To all,

I've been yo-yo dieting for way too long and I really want to do something about it. I'm tired of being unhappy with ME. All of us deserve to be happy within rather than seeking for external means for temporary satisfaction.

I enjoy eating healthy when I do but when I get into these slumps (crave unhealthy, salty, sweet, processed) it's so hard to get back into healthy eating.

Pattern:
Meal 1: Healthy
Meal 2: Unhealthy
Meal 3: try to eat healthy but eventually end up consuming more food than needed b/c I'm searching for that "temporary" satisfaction.

You're probably asking am I getting my exercise in?
No. Why? Because my body feels heavy and when I do, I barely make any progress.

I NEED HELP, I NEED SUPPORT...

What I want right now is to feel less bloated... any diet supplements that can help decrease the bloating so I can get back into the gym and not be so embarrassed of myself?

I've also been looking into appetite suppressants? Any suggestions?

Truly appreciate y'alls time...

    Have a read of this:

We do not recommend appetite suppressants (except for a cup of coffee). However, exercise can also be a good appetite suppressant for many.

If you are bloated, it depends on what is causing it.

Re exercise: there are overweight, obese and morbidly obese people on here who exercise. Also, you do not need a gym to exercise.

all of the above, plus if I can train with 14lbs of fluid retention I'm sure you could do something moderate

Maybe it would help if you stopped seeing foods as healthy/unhealthy all the time.

Totally agree with what everyone else said. Maybe you can try thinking of something tangible that you want and reward yourself with that if you meet a short term goal. For example, walk or exercise 5 times a week for two weeks and you get a new top (or something that you want).

As a yoyo diet person myself I understand where your at. However you simply must want to do this for yourself. Set aside 3 days for walking a moderate path and increase it as you get stronger. Dont think of food as a reward think of it as simply fuel. The better grade of fuel the better the burn. And want this for you. Good luck.

Time to change how you think of food. Some foods are better for you than others. Don't think of the others as unhealthy. Just foods you need to be stricter about. I eat those kinds of foods, but not the amounts I used to.

And as an obese person (went from morbidly to severely obese a while back and it made my day), go walk. Inside the house, around the block, in the mall, wherever. Start slow and work your way back to the gym. I used to breathe heavy walking from the car to work (3/10 of a mile), now i"m running for 30 mins at a time. It wasn't overnight. And I'm lifting something besides pink dumb bells. I did squats with 115 lbs on my back and deadlifted the same this week. Loving the big girl weights.

Water, lots of water. From barely drinking any when I brushed my teeth, I do the minimum 8 a day every day. It's helpful with bloating.

When you're tired of where you are and ready to change, you will. Little steps are a start, but changing the mind is the first step before attempting to change the body.
