On the 20th of Feb I ended up in the hospital due to severe vomiting and back pain. Assumed it was my pancreas yet again but no all levels normal so they said it was stomach virus and had me stay overnight for fluids (and pain meds). Still having back pains all over, bs still high haven’t been below 130s and have been as high as 263. Waking has been 150-190. I have appt with Endo on the 29th but I saw my gastroenterologist today and he is concerned about the weight loss with no real effort (60lbs over last year) so I have to have an endoscopic ultrasound to rule out tumors. I know I’m rambling but I’ve been trying to lower carbs and I’m taking my meds. Oh and my BP was 170/83. I was doing good and I don’t understand why everything is going wonky all of a sudden. Is my pancreas failing more? Ugh I am just frustrated and tired of this. Thanks.

I don't have any insights, but I hope you feel better and figure it out soon.

Stress of any kind, even a headache, can ruin your blood sugar. I’ve been there (well, somewhere similar) and wanted to do a crash diet of nothing but the air I breathed to reset things. I’m so glad I didn’t fall that far but it was so tempting!

Any news yet on what is the cause of the high numbers? I'm sorry if you already posted, but I haven't seen anything and I was concerned about you.

Thank you for thinking of me @amyfrogred. I haven’t gotten the approval/referral for the endoscopic ultrasound yet and my appointment with the Endo isn’t until the end of the month. My numbers are fine one day or partial day the high the est of the day or other days. Like today 136, 119, 129, 310, 113. Yesterday was from 115 to 165, night before I was 239. Like I said, frustrated

This is always irritating to me. There is all this urgency with an ultrasound, and you are displaying various symptoms of something - no one knows what. Then there is the referral and the seemingly eternal wait for tests.

    Anyway... thinking about you.

That's a lot of waiting... I'll be checking back to see how you're doing. Have a great Friday!

Finally got my referral in the mail for the endoscopic ultrasound. Also just had new blood work done and although I haven’t see. The results I was told my TCH (?) was off and the upped my thyroid meds to 0.088. Numbers have settled a bit. Although today I got some ice tea and added a spenda packet to it. Turned out it was sweet tea...number jumped from 98 to 281
