I buy meal replacement bars, they are high in protein, and nutrients, I eat it straight after the workout. I eat healthy during the day so energy for the workout isn't a problem or me, but squeezing in extra calories after a workout is. Also the one I use is tasty, so its like my chocolate fix, vitamin pill and protein all rolled into one :-)

Energy is a big problem for me, I suffer from multiple sclerosis so i am constantly fatigued.
    Thanks for your tips.

most pre workouts are mostly high GI carbs, while this does energize your workout, if you are looking to loose weight probably not the best as you will just be burning the pre workout during your "fat burning" workout

a good stroing cup of coffee or 2 might be all you need?

Yep caffiene is one of the best pre-workouts around. I'm not a coffee drinker and definitely try to steer clear of energy drinks but I often take no doze (caffiene pills from the chemist) before a workout when I'm feeling a bit tired. They only have about the same amount as a cup of coffee. I've never tried any of the pre-workouts because I don't want to stuff around with chemicals that aren't proven to work and I'm scared about messing up my sleep. There are plenty of peer review studies about caffiene and it's ability to boost a workout though.

Totally. No need to spend money on a specific pre-workout shake or supplement. As long as your nutritional macros for your specific goals are travelling well on a daily basis, something like a strong coffee, Coke Zero or Pepsi Max immediately beforehand will give you enough kick to get more out of your workout.

Sleep, carbs and water should keep you fuelled better than anything else.
  • I use Oxy-Shred in the in the pink Grapefruit which is also a great fat burner, and mix it with C4 extreme in the strawberry margarita flavour and love it. Gives me a good buzz during workouts.

Strong black coffe and a banana . If you don't like black coffe get some caffeine tabs. Cheap and low to no carbs

I go to the gym at 5am and put a scoop of BCAA powder in my water bottle. Been doing it for about 6 weeks and I think it does make a difference.

If you have MS, I'd be following whatever your dr recommends.
