Hello everyone! I’m new to the group. My name is Yuliana I’m 22 y/o and I’m looking into getting the gastric sleeve. I have RA so if there’s anyone w/an autoimmune disorder and are pre-op or post-op I’d love to hear your WLS journey. ❤️ Anybody for that matter, I would love to hear your experiences.

Hello. I was delighted to see your post. I have been doing research for months on autoimmune disease and gastric sleeve. This includes CFS/ME as well as RA and/or garden variety osteoarthritis. Also, queried rheumatologist and specialists with regard to the gut and the immune system. After 24 months of debate I was sleeved in January. Dealing with chronic pain made it difficult to exercise to lose weight and lets face it, chronic fatigue is very debilitating. I am 8 weeks out. I knew going in that it would take me longer to bounce back then someone without autoimmune issues. So far, so good. Challenging but worth the fight.0
