Seriously though.. I don't want this to turn into a big debate about what's good and bad on a low carb or keto diet... But is anyone else in the Common Sense Keto group on Facebook? I swear its a cult. When you join, one of the statements you have to agree with is having an opinion is okay so long as you don't state it as fact. But actually, you're not allowed an opinion. One of their admins will jump down your throat and say its their way or the highway. They say not to post studies on anything, but they post their own "Jack approved" studies listed only on their website. I've also found the creator really is just trying to scam people, if you check out his "nutritional coaching" site...
My posts have been deleted for a number of reasons
1) Suggesting Mississippi roast (ranch packets are not allowed in CSK)
2) Talking about sugar free chewing gum
3) Telling an admin she shouldn't be so rude to people. She deleted my comments, the comments of the girl she was being rude to, and only her own rude comments (left her other comments) to tweak the conversation and cover her own butt
4) Suggesting stevia to someone
The list could go on and they're becoming the laughing stock of keto groups on Facebook.
Anyway yeah just a rant. If you enjoy things like stevia, cucumbers, and eating more than just butter for every meal, avoid them like the plague because they are a cancer in the keto society and probably one of the reasons why people get scared and quit.

The web is a place for the good, bad and inbetween on most any subject. Seems like just about any WOE can bring out all three.1

What is the point of dragging drama from other platforms into this group?
Admins, is this appropriate material for the LCD forum? Posts of this sort referring to other MFP forums/ members is what caused the LCD group to be “investigated” and almost shut down, right?1 -
No need to drag Facebook drama here either, IMO.
I also believe there is an MFP guideline that suggests not posting the same topic in various MFP forums. I noted this identical (or near identical topic) posted elsewhere in MFP.1 -
Actually it's very typical of this world - we are NOT allowed to express any opinion on anything these days
Time to drop the group and move on. Not worth the drama!

I believe the rule is don't multiple post in different Forums, but this is a Group. It's up to Group Leaders there. What is the point of dragging drama from other platforms into this group?

But this is regarding something on Facebook, not MFP.
Regarding the "incident": The Main Forum as it is now is quite different that it was a few years ago. People openly targeted LC threads.
The issue was also Main Forum members lurking in our group then c&ping comments from hurt/angry members of our group into Main Forum posts. Posts that complained of how they were torn up just because they were LCers in the MF. Someone from our group complained that they were doing that to us to the Admins. MF people also made ridiculous accusations of conspiracy, by our members, to get popular ringleaders of those causing drama banned. Not at all true. But are you going to restrict a group (20,000 peeps) or the whole darn Forum (maybe a million members)? The simplest thing for them to do was to make our group Private and tell us to not complain about things in it. Drama over.
I don't agree that it is dragging drama. Is it going to drag Facebook people here to cause further angst?
As long as it stays as a warning about that group, and doesn't degenerate further...I'm ok with it. It doesn't hurt to give members a heads-up on something nasty they shouldn't accidentally step into.
However, we're not going to continue with bashing the group. I think what needs to be said has been said regarding that, so I'll leave it up for now, but further comments are closed, unless, after I talk to the other mods, they ok it reopening.
It's sad that not every group is welcoming and positive like ours. We are lucky.8
