My mom has been diabetic for over 20 years she has always taken meds and struggled with diets. Today she was told her kidneys are declining fast and she needs to stop her main prescription that she takes for her diabetes. She also has high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
I started keto in January and have lost 25lbs so far. My fear with helping her do the keto diet is that her cholesterol will go up. Can anyone help us understand what she should do?

There really is no evidence that high cholesterol is a risk factor for heart disease at all.
As a matter of fact, it’s more likely the high blood sugar and insulin resistance that’s the cause.
The absolute very best thing she could possibly do for her health is keto. No question about it.
Watch This video and learn more about cholesterol because I wouldn’t be worried in the least anoitvit going up personally. It probably will but in a good way.
