    I never even heard of Yudkin, but I'm familiar with Dr. Wiley who was an even earlier opponent of sugar and preservatives...and sadly, equally harassed by the industry...<sigh>

    I just wish they hadn't brought out the "sugar is more addictive than cocaine" line. :( It may affect the same areas of the brain but MORE addictive? Or even AS addictive? Probably not. Demonizing sugar is generally about as bad as demonizing fat. Well, almost. ;) I think the real demon is high fat WITH high sugar and refined carbs. Those two together are the real demon - IMO. :)

    Yudkin's book, Pure White and Deadly, is a good read if you can find it.
